1. Introduction

Thank you for choosing the DEERC Remote Control Boat. This high-performance RC boat is designed for exciting water adventures in pools and lakes. Featuring vibrant LED lights, a 2.4 GHz control system, and a durable ABS plastic construction, it offers extended playtime and user-friendly operation. Please read this manual thoroughly before operating the boat to ensure safe and enjoyable use.

2. Safety Precautions

• Always operate the boat in open water, away from people, animals, and obstacles.
• Do not operate in saltwater. Only use in fresh water such as pools, ponds, or lakes.
• Ensure the waterproof cover is securely fastened before placing the boat in water.
• Keep fingers, hair, and loose clothing away from the propeller when the boat is powered on.
• Adult supervision is recommended for children under 14 years old.
• Do not touch the motor immediately after use, as it may be hot.
• Remove batteries from the boat and remote control when not in use for extended periods.
• Only use the provided charger and batteries. Do not attempt to charge non-rechargeable batteries.

4. Setup

4.1 Charging the Boat Batteries

1. Connect the rechargeable lithium-ion battery to the USB charging cable.
2. Plug the USB charging cable into a USB power adapter (e.g., computer USB port, wall charger).
3. The indicator light on the USB cable will show charging status (refer to charger instructions for specific light behavior).
4. Once fully charged, disconnect the battery from the charger.

Note: Each battery provides approximately 40 minutes of playtime, for a total of 80 minutes with both batteries.

4.2 Installing Batteries

4.2.1 Boat Battery Installation

1. Locate the battery compartment on the top of the boat.
2. Carefully open the waterproof cover and then the inner battery compartment cover.
3. Connect a charged lithium-ion battery to the boat's power connector.
4. Place the battery inside the compartment.
5. Securely close both the inner battery compartment cover and the outer waterproof cover to prevent water ingress.

4.2.2 Remote Controller Battery Installation

1. Open the battery cover on the back of the remote controller.
2. Insert 2 x AA batteries (not included) into the compartment, observing the correct polarity (+/-).
3. Close the battery cover securely.

4.3 Pairing the Remote Controller

1. Ensure the boat's battery is connected and the boat is powered on.
2. Turn on the remote controller.
3. The remote controller and boat will automatically pair. The indicator light on the remote will become solid when pairing is successful.

5. Operating the Boat

5.1 Water Sensing Feature

The DEERC RC boat is equipped with a water sensing safety feature. The motor will only activate when the boat is placed in water. This prevents accidental propeller rotation when handling the boat out of water.

5.2 Basic Controls

• Throttle Lever: Push forward to accelerate, pull back to reverse.
• Steering Wheel: Turn left to steer left, turn right to steer right.

The boat features full proportional throttle and steering, allowing for precise speed regulation and maneuverability.

5.3 Self-Righting Hull Design

In the event the boat flips over, its unique self-righting hull design allows it to automatically turn back upright. Simply apply throttle to initiate the self-righting action.

5.4 LED Lights

The boat is equipped with fancy flashing LED lights for enhanced visibility and fun, especially during evening operation. Refer to the remote control diagram (if provided with product) for specific light control buttons, or note that lights may activate automatically when the boat is powered on and in water.

5.5 Operating Range and Playtime

The 2.4 GHz remote control system provides a control range of up to 197 feet (approximately 60 meters). With the two included batteries, you can enjoy up to 80 minutes of continuous playtime (40 minutes per battery).

6. Maintenance

• After Each Use: Remove the boat from the water, open the waterproof cover, and drain any accumulated water. Wipe the boat dry with a soft cloth.
• Propeller Cleaning: Periodically check the propeller for any debris (weeds, string, etc.) and carefully remove it.
• Motor Cooling System: The boat features a water circulation cooling system. Ensure the water intake and outlet are clear of obstructions.
• Battery Storage: Store batteries in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. Do not store fully charged or fully discharged for long periods.
• General Cleaning: Use a damp cloth to wipe down the boat and remote control. Do not use harsh chemicals or solvents.
