Setup Instructions
Follow these steps to set up your ROLINE USB Type C Docking Station:
- Connect to Host Device: Plug the integrated USB Type C cable from the docking station into an available USB Type C port on your MacBook, Ultrabook, notebook, or laptop. The device is Plug & Play, so no drivers are typically required.
- Power Connection (Optional): If your host device requires charging or if you are connecting power-intensive peripherals, connect a USB Type C power adapter (not included) to the USB Type C PD port on the docking station. This port supports up to 60W Power Delivery.
- Connect External Display: Use an HDMI cable to connect your monitor, TV, or projector to the HDMI port on the docking station. Ensure your display supports the desired resolution (up to 8K @ 30Hz).
- Connect USB Peripherals: Connect your USB devices such as keyboards, mice, USB HDDs/SSDs, or other accessories to the available USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-A or Type-C ports.
- Connect to Network: For a wired network connection, connect an Ethernet cable from your router or modem to the RJ45 2.5 Gigabit Ethernet port on the docking station.

Operating Instructions
Display Output (HDMI)
Once connected, your operating system (Windows 7/8/10 or MacOS X10.2 and above) should automatically detect the external display. You can configure display settings (mirror or extend) through your computer's display settings. The HDMI port supports resolutions up to 7680 x 4320 at 30Hz.
USB Data Transfer
The three USB 3.2 Gen 2 ports (two Type-A and one Type-C) provide high-speed data transfer up to 10 Gbit/s. Connect your USB storage devices, keyboards, mice, or other peripherals to these ports for fast and efficient operation.
Network Connection (2.5GbE LAN)
The 2.5 Gigabit Ethernet port provides a stable and high-speed wired network connection. Ensure your router and network infrastructure support 2.5GbE for optimal performance. The connection is automatically established upon plugging in the Ethernet cable.
Power Delivery (PD)
The USB Type C PD port allows you to charge your host device while using the docking station. Connect your original USB Type C power adapter to this port. The docking station can deliver up to 60W of power to your connected laptop.

Maintenance
To ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your docking station, follow these maintenance guidelines:
- Cleaning: Gently wipe the exterior of the docking station with a soft, dry, lint-free cloth. Avoid using liquid cleaners, aerosols, or solvents, as they may damage the finish or internal components.
- Storage: When not in use, store the docking station in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
- Handling: Avoid dropping or subjecting the device to strong impacts. Do not attempt to disassemble the docking station, as this will void the warranty and may cause damage.
- Ventilation: Ensure the docking station is placed in an area with adequate ventilation to prevent overheating, especially during prolonged use.
Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your ROLINE USB Type C Docking Station, refer to the following common troubleshooting steps:
- No Display Output:
- Ensure the HDMI cable is securely connected to both the docking station and the monitor.
- Verify that the monitor is powered on and set to the correct input source (HDMI).
- Check your computer's display settings to ensure the external display is detected and configured (e.g., extended or mirrored).
- Try a different HDMI cable or monitor to rule out faulty equipment.
- USB Devices Not Detected:
- Ensure the USB devices are properly plugged into the docking station's USB ports.
- Try connecting the USB device directly to your computer to confirm it functions correctly.
- If using a high-power USB device (e.g., external HDD), ensure a power adapter is connected to the docking station's PD port.
- No Network Connection:
- Verify the Ethernet cable is securely connected to both the docking station and your router/modem.
- Check the network status on your computer.
- Ensure your router/modem is functioning correctly and providing an internet connection.
- Try a different Ethernet cable.
- Charging Issues (PD Port):
- Ensure your USB Type C power adapter is connected to the PD port and is functioning.
- Verify that your laptop supports charging via USB Type C Power Delivery.
- General Connectivity Issues:
- Disconnect and reconnect the docking station from your host device.
- Restart your computer.
- Ensure your operating system is up to date.
