Maintenance
- Cleaning: To clean the keyboard, disconnect it from your computer. Use a soft, dry cloth to wipe down the keys and surface. For stubborn dirt, a slightly damp cloth can be used, ensuring no liquid enters the keyboard. The included keycap puller can be used to remove keycaps for deeper cleaning.
- Spill Resistance: The surmen G1000 keyboard features a water-resistant design. In case of accidental spills, quickly disconnect the keyboard, wipe off the liquid, and allow it to air dry completely before reconnecting. While water-resistant, it is not waterproof; avoid submerging the keyboard in liquid.

Troubleshooting
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Keyboard not responding. | Loose USB connection, faulty USB port, driver issue. | Ensure USB cable is securely plugged in. Try a different USB port. Restart your computer. |
| Backlight not turning on. | Backlight is off, software glitch. | Press FN + SL to toggle the backlight. Unplug and replug the keyboard. |
| Keys are not quiet enough. | Expectations vs. membrane switch sound profile. | While designed for quiet operation, membrane keyboards still produce some sound. This is normal for the product type. |
| Certain keys (e.g., Windows key) not working. | Win Lock enabled, manufacturing defect. | Check if Win Lock is enabled (often indicated by a light or specific key combination). If a key is physically misaligned (e.g., upside down as mentioned in a review), this indicates a manufacturing defect. Contact customer support for assistance. |
