1. Introduction

Thank you for purchasing the LONPOO AMP-615 Mini Hi-Fi Stereo Amplifier. This amplifier is designed to provide high-quality audio amplification for your home audio system, featuring versatile input options including Bluetooth, AUX, USB, Optical, and Coaxial. Please read this manual carefully to ensure proper setup, operation, and maintenance of your device.

2. Product Overview

The LONPOO AMP-615 is a compact 2-channel stereo amplifier offering 100W per channel output. It features a robust design with intuitive controls and multiple connectivity options to integrate seamlessly with various audio sources and passive speakers.

2.1 Front Panel

  • POWER ON/OFF: Main power switch.
  • TREBLE Control: Adjusts high-frequency audio output.
  • BASS Control: Adjusts low-frequency audio output.
  • VOLUME + / - (Multi-Function Knob): Rotate to adjust volume. Short press to cycle through input modes (Bluetooth, AUX, USB, Optical, Coaxial). Long press to power off the unit.
  • AUX IN (3.5mm): Audio input for devices with a 3.5mm audio output.
  • USB Input: For playing audio files from a U-disk (supports MP3, WAV formats).

  • BT ANT: Connection point for the Bluetooth antenna.
  • COAXIAL Input: Digital audio input.
  • OPTICAL Input: Digital audio input.
  • LINE OUT (R/L): RCA stereo output for connecting to powered speakers or another amplifier.
  • Passive Speaker Output (R/L): Connects to passive speakers using banana plugs or bare wire.
  • AC Power Port: Connects to the AC power cable (100-240V ~ 50/60Hz).

The included remote control provides convenient access to various functions:

  • MODE: Cycles through input sources.
  • VOL+/-: Adjusts volume.
  • PLAY/PAUSE, PREVIOUS/NEXT: Controls media playback in USB mode.
  • TREBLE+/-: Adjusts treble levels.
  • BASS+/-: Adjusts bass levels.
  • RESET: Resets audio settings to default.
  • MUTE: Mutes/unmutes audio.

3. Setup

3.1 Unpacking and Placement

  1. Carefully remove the amplifier and all accessories from the packaging.
  2. Place the amplifier on a stable, flat surface. Ensure adequate ventilation around the unit to prevent overheating. Avoid placing it near heat sources or in direct sunlight.
  3. Attach the Bluetooth antenna to the 'BT ANT' connector on the rear panel.

3.2 Connecting Speakers

The AMP-615 is designed for passive speakers. Connect your passive speakers to the 'Passive Speaker Output (R/L)' terminals on the rear panel. Ensure correct polarity (+ to + and - to -) for each speaker. You can use banana plugs for easier and more secure connections, or bare speaker wire.

3.3 Connecting Audio Sources

Choose the appropriate input based on your audio source:

  • Bluetooth: For wireless connection from smartphones, tablets, or computers.
  • AUX IN (3.5mm): For devices like MP3 players, older smartphones, or computers with a 3.5mm audio output.
  • USB Input: Insert a U-disk containing MP3 or WAV audio files.
  • OPTICAL/COAXIAL: For digital audio output from TVs, CD/DVD players, or game consoles.

3.4 Connecting Power

Connect the supplied AC power cable to the 'AC Power Port' on the rear panel of the amplifier, then plug the other end into a suitable wall outlet (100-240V ~ 50/60Hz).

4. Operating Instructions

4.1 Power On/Off

  • To power on, flip the 'POWER ON/OFF' switch on the front panel to the 'ON' position. The indicator light will illuminate.
  • To power off, flip the 'POWER ON/OFF' switch to the 'OFF' position, or long press the Multi-Function knob on the front panel.

4.2 Input Selection

Short press the Multi-Function knob on the front panel or use the 'MODE' button on the remote control to cycle through the available input sources: Bluetooth, AUX, USB, Optical, Coaxial. The indicator light will change color to reflect the selected input.

4.3 Volume Control

Rotate the Multi-Function knob on the front panel clockwise to increase volume and counter-clockwise to decrease volume. Alternatively, use the 'VOL+' and 'VOL-' buttons on the remote control.

4.4 Treble and Bass Adjustment

Use the 'TREBLE' and 'BASS' knobs on the front panel to adjust the high and low frequencies to your preference. You can also use the 'TREBLE+/-' and 'BASS+/-' buttons on the remote control.

5. Connectivity Options

5.1 Bluetooth Connection

  1. Select Bluetooth mode using the Multi-Function knob or remote. The indicator light will turn blue.
  2. On your device (smartphone, tablet, etc.), enable Bluetooth and search for available devices.
  3. Select 'LONPOO AMP-615' from the list. Once paired, the indicator light will remain solid blue.

5.2 AUX Input

Connect your audio device (e.g., MP3 player, computer) to the 3.5mm 'AUX IN' port on the front panel using a 3.5mm audio cable. Select AUX mode; the indicator light will turn green.

5.3 USB Input (U-Disk Playback)

Insert a USB flash drive (U-disk) containing MP3 or WAV audio files into the 'USB' port on the front panel. Select USB mode. The amplifier will automatically begin playing compatible audio files. Use the remote control for playback functions (Play/Pause, Previous/Next).

5.4 Optical and Coaxial Inputs

Connect your TV, CD player, or other digital audio source to the 'OPTICAL' or 'COAXIAL' input ports on the rear panel using the appropriate cable. Select the corresponding input mode; the indicator light will turn light blue for Optical or yellow for Coaxial.

5.5 RCA Line Out

The 'LINE OUT (R/L)' RCA ports on the rear panel provide an unfiltered stereo audio output. This can be used to connect the amplifier to powered speakers, a subwoofer, or another amplifier for further expansion of your audio system.

7. Troubleshooting

  • No Power:
    - Ensure the power cable is securely connected to both the amplifier and the wall outlet.
    - Verify the 'POWER ON/OFF' switch is in the 'ON' position.
  • No Sound:
    - Check that the correct input source is selected.
    - Verify speaker connections are secure and correctly polarized.
    - Ensure the volume is not set to minimum or muted.
    - Test with a different audio source or cable.
  • Bluetooth Disconnection/Cannot Pair:
    - Ensure the amplifier is in Bluetooth mode (blue indicator light).
    - Move your Bluetooth device closer to the amplifier.
    - Clear the amplifier from your device's Bluetooth history and try pairing again.
    - Ensure no other devices are actively connected to the amplifier via Bluetooth.
  • Distorted Audio:
    - Reduce the volume on both the amplifier and the audio source.
    - Check speaker impedance compatibility.
    - Ensure audio cables are fully inserted and not damaged.
  • Remote Control Not Working:
    - Check the battery in the remote control.
    - Ensure there are no obstructions between the remote and the amplifier's IR receiver.

8. Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the exterior of the amplifier. Do not use liquid cleaners or solvents.
  • Ventilation: Keep the ventilation openings clear to prevent overheating.
  • Storage: If storing the unit for an extended period, disconnect it from power and store it in a cool, dry place.

  • Do not place objects filled with liquids, such as vases, on the appliance.
  • Do not block any ventilation openings. Install in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions.
