Operating Instructions: Candle Making Process
Follow these steps to create your custom scented candles:

- Prepare Candle Tins: Place a wick in the center of each candle tin. Use a wick clip to hold the wick upright and centered. Secure the wick to the bottom of the tin with a wick sticker.
- Melt the Wax: Pour the desired amount of beeswax into the metal pouring pot. Place the pouring pot onto the electric stove. Turn the stove to the highest setting.
- Monitor Temperature: Insert the thermometer into the wax. Allow the wax to melt completely, stirring occasionally with the spoon. The ideal pouring temperature for soy wax is typically between 125-140°F (51-60°C). Once the wax reaches this temperature, turn off the electric stove.
- Add Dye (Optional): If desired, add a dye block to the melted wax and stir thoroughly until the color is evenly distributed and the dye is fully dissolved.
- Add Essential Oil: Once the wax has cooled slightly to around 125-140°F (51-60°C), add one bottle of your chosen essential oil scent. Stir gently for at least 2 minutes to ensure the oil is fully incorporated into the wax. Adding scent at a lower temperature helps preserve the fragrance.
- Pour Wax: Carefully pour the scented, colored wax into the prepared candle tins. Ensure the wicks remain centered.
- Add Dried Flowers (Optional): If you wish to add dried flowers, gently place 2-3 pieces onto the surface of the wax, ensuring they are positioned away from the wick. This prevents them from catching fire during burning.
- Curing: Allow the candles to cool and harden completely for at least 8 hours, or preferably 24-48 hours, at room temperature. This process, known as curing, helps the wax and fragrance bind, resulting in a stronger scent throw when burned.
- Trim Wicks: Before lighting your candle for the first time, use the small scissors to trim the wick to approximately 1/4 inch (6mm) in length. This promotes a clean, even burn.

Maintenance
- Cleaning the Pouring Pot: After use, allow any remaining wax in the pouring pot to cool and solidify. Gently scrape out the hardened wax. Wipe the interior with a paper towel to remove residue. For a deeper clean, you can use warm, soapy water, ensuring the pot is completely dry before next use.
- Cleaning the Electric Stove: Ensure the electric stove is unplugged and completely cool before cleaning. Wipe the surface with a damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or immerse the stove in water.
- Storage: Store all kit components in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight to preserve the quality of the wax and essential oils.
Troubleshooting
- Wax not melting evenly or slowly: Ensure the pouring pot is centered on the electric stove. The stove operates at 500 watts for quick melting (3-5 minutes). If melting is slow, verify the stove is plugged in correctly and functioning.
- Weak scent throw: Ensure essential oils are added at the recommended temperature (125-140°F) and stirred thoroughly for at least 2 minutes. Adding scent at too high a temperature can cause it to evaporate.
- Wick tunneling (wax left on edges): Ensure the wick is centered and trimmed to 1/4 inch before each burn. Allow the candle to burn long enough on its first use for the wax pool to reach the edges of the tin.
- Hot plate legs melting: Always place the electric stove on a heat-resistant surface, such as the provided silicone anti-scalding pad, to prevent damage to surfaces or the stove itself.
- Essential oil bottles leaking: Before use, check that all essential oil bottle caps are securely tightened. If leakage occurs, contact customer support.
