This manual provides comprehensive instructions for the installation, operation, and maintenance of your SURFOU Wireless Doorbell. Please read this manual thoroughly before use to ensure proper functionality and longevity of the product.

Product Overview

The SURFOU Wireless Doorbell system includes plug-in receivers and battery-powered transmitters. Key features include a wide operating range, multiple ringtones, adjustable volume, and a digital LED display for identifying different entry points.

Components:

• Transmitter (Doorbell Button): Battery-powered, weatherproof unit placed outside.
• Receiver (Chime Unit): Plug-in unit with LED display and controls for ringtone and volume.
• Mounting hardware (double-sided tape, screws).

Setup and Installation

The SURFOU Wireless Doorbell is designed for easy installation without complex wiring.

1. Receiver Placement: Plug the receiver into a standard electrical outlet in a central location within your home. Ensure it is within the 1,300ft (unobstructed) wireless range of the transmitter.
2. Transmitter Installation:
   • The transmitter comes with a pre-installed battery.
   • Choose a suitable location for the doorbell button, such as next to your front door.
   • Clean the surface thoroughly before mounting.
   • Use the provided double-sided adhesive tape to firmly attach the transmitter to the desired surface. Alternatively, use the included screws for a more permanent installation.
3. Initial Pairing (if needed): The units are typically pre-paired. If not, or if you add more transmitters/receivers, follow the pairing instructions in the "Operating Instructions" section.

Operating Instructions

Changing Ringtones:

The doorbell offers 55 different ringtones. To change the ringtone:

1. On the receiver, short press the "Backward" or "Forward" button (usually marked with arrows) to cycle through the available melodies. The receiver will play the selected ringtone.
2. Once you find your preferred ringtone, the receiver's built-in memory chip will remember this setting even after a power outage.

Adjusting Volume:

There are 5 adjustable volume levels, ranging from 0 dB (mute) to 110 dB.

1. On the receiver, short press the "Volume" button (usually marked with a speaker icon) to cycle through the volume levels.
2. Select the desired volume. The receiver will play a sound at the chosen level.

Pairing Transmitters with Receivers (Setting Numbers):

The LED digital display on the receiver can show a number (1-9) to indicate which transmitter was pressed, useful for multiple entry points.

1. Set Ringtone for Transmitter:
   • Short press the "Backward" or "Forward" button on the receiver to select your desired ringtone.
   • Long press the "Volume" button (middle button) on the receiver for approximately 8 seconds until it makes a "ding" sound and the LED number display lights up. This puts the receiver into learning mode.
2. Select Number: While the receiver is in learning mode, short press the "Backward" or "Forward" button on the receiver to select the number (1-9) you wish to assign to the transmitter.
3. Pair Transmitter: Within 8 seconds of selecting the number, press the button on the transmitter you wish to pair. The receiver will emit two "ding" sounds, and the LED display will show the assigned number, confirming successful pairing.
4. This learning mode lasts only 8 seconds. If no transmitter is pressed within this time, it will automatically exit.

Mute Mode and LED Indicator:

The receiver features a mute mode (0 dB volume) and a flashing LED light, which is particularly useful for the hearing impaired or when a silent notification is preferred.

Maintenance

Cleaning:

Wipe the doorbell units with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.

Battery Replacement (Transmitter):

The transmitter is powered by a 12V 23A battery, designed for up to 3 years of service life. When the transmitter's signal weakens or stops working, it's time to replace the battery.

1. Carefully open the transmitter casing.
2. Remove the old 12V 23A battery.
3. Insert a new 12V 23A battery, ensuring correct polarity.
4. Close the casing securely.

Weather Resistance:

The transmitter is IP55 dustproof and waterproof, capable of withstanding various weather conditions, including rain, snow, and extreme temperatures (-30°C to 70°C / -22°F to 158°F).
