4. Filtration System

The Thereye Countertop Water Filter utilizes an advanced 7-stage Reverse Osmosis (RO) filtration system to effectively remove most tap water pollutants, ensuring safe and pure drinking water.

7 Stages of Purification:

  1. PP Cotton: Filters out larger particles like sediment, rust, and sand.
  2. Activated Carbon Composite: Removes chlorine, odors, and organic chemicals.
  3. 5 Micron Polypropylene: Further filters finer particles.
  4. Long Acting Scale Inhibitor: Reduces scale buildup to protect the RO membrane.
  5. 0.0001 Micron RO Membrane: The core of the system, effectively removing dissolved solids, heavy metals, bacteria, and viruses.
  6. 5 Micron Post Carbon: Polishes the water for improved taste and odor.
  7. Polypropylene: Provides final filtration before dispensing.

The system uses 3 replaceable filters (RO, CF, and PAC) that combine these 7 stages. The recycled wastewater can be used for other household purposes, such as watering plants, to minimize waste.

5. Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and optimal performance of your water filter system.

Cleaning the Water Tank:

  • It is recommended to clean the raw water tank regularly, especially if the "Change Water" indicator illuminates frequently or if the water has been stagnant for an extended period (e.g., overnight).
  • Remove the water tank from the back of the unit.
  • Discard any remaining water in the tank.
  • Rinse the tank thoroughly with clean water. For deeper cleaning, use a mild soap and soft brush, then rinse completely to remove all soap residue.
  • Refill the tank with fresh tap water and place it back into the unit.
