Thank you for choosing the SURFOU Wireless Doorbell. This manual provides detailed instructions for the proper installation, operation, and maintenance of your new doorbell system. Please read this manual thoroughly before use to ensure optimal performance and longevity of the product.

The SURFOU Wireless Doorbell system offers a reliable and convenient solution for homes, classrooms, apartments, and businesses. It features a long wireless range, multiple ringtones, adjustable volume levels, and an LED indicator for enhanced usability.

2. Safety Information

  • Do not expose the transmitter to direct water immersion. While it is IP55 dustproof and waterproof, prolonged submersion can cause damage.
  • Do not attempt to disassemble or repair the unit yourself. Refer all servicing to qualified personnel.
  • Keep the product away from extreme temperatures, direct sunlight, and strong magnetic fields.
  • Ensure the receiver is plugged into a standard electrical outlet within the specified voltage range (AC100-260V/50-60Hz).
  • Dispose of batteries responsibly according to local regulations.

4. Product Overview

The SURFOU Wireless Doorbell system consists of a weather-resistant transmitter (button) and multiple plug-in receivers. The receivers feature an LED number display to indicate which transmitter has been pressed, making it ideal for multi-door or multi-room setups.

5. Installation and Setup

5.1 Transmitter Installation

The transmitter comes with a pre-installed battery and can be mounted using either the provided double-sided tape or screws.

  1. Using Double-Sided Tape:
    • Clean the mounting surface thoroughly to ensure it is free of dust and grease.
    • Peel off one side of the double-sided tape and apply it firmly to the back of the transmitter.
    • Peel off the other side of the tape and press the transmitter firmly onto the desired location on your wall or door frame for at least 30 seconds.
  2. Using Screws:
    • Open the back cover of the transmitter.
    • Mark the positions for drilling holes using the back cover as a template.
    • Drill holes and insert wall anchors if necessary.
    • Secure the back cover to the wall with the provided screws.
    • Snap the transmitter onto the secured back cover.

5.2 Receiver Installation

Simply plug each receiver into a standard electrical outlet in your desired location. The LED number display will light up upon successful connection.

5.3 Pairing and Setting Ringtones/Numbers

The doorbell system is typically pre-paired. However, if you need to change ringtones or assign specific numbers to different transmitters, follow these steps:

  1. Set the Ringtone for the Transmitter:
    • Short press the "Backward" or "Forward" button on the receiver to select your desired ringtone. The receiver will play the selected tune.
    • Long press the "Middle Volume" button on the receiver for about 8 seconds until it makes a "ding" sound and the LED number display lights up. This indicates it's in pairing mode.
  2. Set Numbers for Different Transmitters:
    • While the receiver is in pairing mode (LED display lit), short press the "Backward" or "Forward" button to select the number (1-9) you wish to assign to the current transmitter.
    • Within 8 seconds, press the transmitter button you want to pair. The receiver will emit two "ding" sounds, and the LED display will show the assigned number, confirming successful pairing.
    • Note: This learning mode lasts only 8 seconds. If pairing is not completed within this time, the receiver will automatically exit pairing mode. Repeat the steps if necessary.

6. Operating Instructions

6.1 Changing Ringtones

Your SURFOU doorbell offers 55 different ringtones. To change the ringtone:

  • On the receiver, use the "Backward" (Backward button icon) or "Forward" (Forward button icon) buttons to cycle through the available melodies. The receiver will play a preview of each ringtone as you select it.
  • The selected ringtone will be saved automatically due to the built-in memory function, even after a power outage.

6.2 Adjusting Volume

The doorbell has 5 adjustable volume levels, ranging from 0 dB (silent) to 110 dB (noisy).

  • Press the "Volume" (Volume button icon) button on the receiver to cycle through the volume levels.
  • Select the volume level that best suits your environment and needs.

6.3 LED Indicator and Digital Display

The receiver features a flashing LED light and a digital number display.

  • When a transmitter is pressed, the LED light on the receiver will flash, providing a visual alert. This feature is particularly useful for individuals with hearing impairments.
  • If multiple transmitters are paired, the digital display will show the corresponding number (1-9) of the activated transmitter, allowing you to identify which door or location the visitor is at.

7. Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Wipe the doorbell units with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
  • Transmitter Battery: The transmitter is powered by a 12V 23A battery, which has a life expectancy of up to 3 years. When the transmitter's performance degrades or it stops working, replace the battery.
  • Weather Resistance: The transmitter is IP55 dustproof and waterproof, designed to withstand various weather conditions including rain, sun, and snow, with an operating temperature range of -30°C to 70°C (-22°F to 158°F).

8. Troubleshooting

Problem Possible Cause Solution
Receiver does not ring when transmitter is pressed.
  • Transmitter battery is dead.
  • Receiver is unplugged or not powered.
  • Units are out of range.
  • Units are not paired.
  • Replace the transmitter battery.
  • Ensure receiver is securely plugged into a working outlet.
  • Move receiver closer to the transmitter or remove obstructions.
  • Re-pair the transmitter and receiver (refer to Section 5.3).
Short range or intermittent signal.
  • Thick walls or metal structures interfering with signal.
  • Other wireless devices causing interference.
  • Relocate receiver or transmitter to a more open area.
  • Move other wireless devices away from the doorbell units.
LED indicator not flashing.
  • Receiver is in silent mode (0 dB volume).
  • Transmitter battery is low or dead.
  • Increase the volume level on the receiver.
  • Replace the transmitter battery.
