3. Important Safety Information
WARNING: Failure to follow these safety instructions may result in fire, electric shock, injury, or damage to the product or property.
- Always disconnect power before installation, maintenance, or moving the light.
- This light uses a commercial power plug. If using in a household setting, a commercial-to-household plug adapter is required. Ensure the adapter is rated for the light's wattage and voltage.
- Do not look directly at the operating LED lights. Prolonged exposure may cause eye strain or damage.
- Ensure the light is securely mounted to prevent it from falling.
- Do not operate the light in environments with excessive humidity or direct water exposure beyond its IP54 rating. While IP54 rated for water splash resistance, it is not submersible.
- Maintain adequate ventilation around the light to prevent overheating.
- Keep out of reach of children.
4. Setup and Installation
4.1 Unpacking
Carefully remove all components from the packaging. Inspect the light for any signs of damage. If any damage is found, do not proceed with installation and contact customer support.
4.2 Mounting the Grow Light
The SANSI 400W LED Grow Light is designed for ceiling mount installation. Ensure the mounting surface can support the weight of the fixture (approximately 19.11 pounds).
- Identify a suitable location for installation, considering the desired coverage area (e.g., 3x3FT or 4x4FT grow tent).
- Attach the provided hanging hardware (ropes/chains) to the designated points on the grow light fixture.
- Securely hang the grow light from a sturdy ceiling structure or grow tent frame. Ensure the light is level and stable.

6. Maintenance
Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and optimal performance of your grow light.
- Cleaning: Ensure the light is off and unplugged before cleaning. Use a soft, dry cloth to wipe the surface of the light and lenses. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
- Inspection: Periodically check the power cord for any damage. Ensure all mounting hardware remains secure.
- Environment: While IP54 waterproof, avoid direct water spray or prolonged exposure to high humidity to maximize lifespan.
7. Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your SANSI 400W LED Grow Light, refer to the following common problems and solutions:
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Light does not turn on. | No power supply; loose connection; faulty outlet; dimmer set to 0%. | Check power cord connection. Ensure the outlet is functional. Verify the commercial-to-household adapter is correctly used. Rotate the dimming knob clockwise to increase brightness. |
| Light flickers or dims unexpectedly. | Unstable power supply; loose connection; dimmer malfunction. | Check power connections. Try plugging into a different outlet. If the issue persists, contact customer support. |
| Light is not bright enough. | Dimmer setting is too low; incorrect hanging height. | Adjust the dimming knob to 100%. Refer to Section 5.4 for recommended hanging heights. |
| Excessive heat from the fixture. | Poor ventilation; obstructed heat sinks. | Ensure adequate airflow around the fixture. Clear any obstructions from the heat sinks. |
