3. Setup Guide

3.1. Initial Charging

Before first use, ensure the ANCEL V5BT-US scan tool is fully charged using the provided Type-C USB cable and power adapter. Connect the Type-C cable to the scanner's charging port and the power adapter to a standard electrical outlet. The charging indicator on the device will show its status.

3.2. Connecting the VCI (Vehicle Communication Interface)

The VCI module facilitates wireless communication between the scanner and your vehicle. Locate your vehicle's OBD2 port, typically found under the dashboard on the driver's side. 4. Operating Instructions

4.1. User Interface Navigation

The ANCEL V5BT-US features a 7-inch touchscreen for intuitive navigation. Tap on icons to select functions, swipe to scroll through menus, and use the back button to return to previous screens. The main menu provides access to core functions such as Diagnosis, Hot Function, Quick Support, Update, Data Manager, Feedback, and Settings.

4.2. Diagnostic Functions

To perform a diagnostic scan, select the 'Diagnosis' option from the main menu. The tool supports:

• Auto-VIN Identification: Automatically detects vehicle information for quick setup.
• Full System Auto-Scan: Scans all available electronic control units (ECUs) in the vehicle.
• Read/Clear Codes: Retrieves and clears Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) from various systems.
• Live Data Stream: Displays real-time data parameters from the vehicle's sensors and modules, often presented in a 4-in-1 graph format for easy comparison.

• Device Not Powering On: Ensure the battery is charged. If connected to the vehicle, verify the VCI is securely plugged into the OBD2 port and the vehicle's ignition is on.
• No Communication with Vehicle: Check that the VCI is firmly connected to the OBD2 port. Verify the vehicle's ignition is in the ON position (engine off or running). Ensure the scanner's Bluetooth connection to the VCI is active. Try selecting the vehicle make/model manually if auto-VIN fails.
• Software Freezes/Slow Performance: Restart the device. Ensure the software is up to date. If issues persist, contact technical support.
