5. Setup Instructions

5.1 Initial Power-Up

1. Receiver: Plug the receiver into any standard electrical outlet. The LED number display will light up, indicating it is powered on.
2. Sensor: The sensor comes with a pre-installed 12V 23A battery. Ensure the insulating paper is removed from the battery compartment before use.

5.2 Pairing Transmitter and Receiver

Follow these steps to pair your sensor (transmitter) with the receiver and set a specific ringtone:

1. Select Ringtone: On the receiver, short press the Forward Button (▲) or Backward Button (▼) to cycle through the 55 available ringtones. Stop when you find your preferred melody.
2. Enter Pairing Mode: Long press the Volume Button (🔊) on the receiver for approximately 5-8 seconds until you hear a "ding" sound and the LED number display starts flashing. This indicates the receiver is in pairing mode.
3. Activate Sensor: While the receiver is flashing, separate the two parts of the magnetic door sensor by more than 1cm (0.4 inches). The transmitter's LED will flash red, and the receiver will play two "ding" sounds, confirming successful pairing.
4. Test Pairing: Re-attach and then separate the sensor parts. The receiver should play the selected ringtone and display the corresponding sensor number (1-9).

Note: The pairing setting is completed. This learning mode lasts only 8 seconds. If pairing is not completed within this time, the receiver will automatically exit pairing mode, and you will need to repeat Step 2.

5.3 Installation

The sensor can be installed using either double-sided adhesive tape or screws.

• Placement: Install the main sensor unit on the door/window frame and the smaller magnetic strip on the moving part of the door/window. Ensure the two parts are aligned and within 1cm (0.4 inches) of each other when the door/window is closed.
• Adhesive Installation: Clean the surface thoroughly. Peel off the protective film from the double-sided adhesive tape and firmly press the sensor parts onto the desired locations.
• Screw Installation: For a more secure installation, use the provided screws. Open the sensor casing to access the screw holes. Mount the sensor parts and then re-assemble the casing.

6. Operating Instructions

6.1 Adjusting Volume

Short press the Volume Button (🔊) on the receiver to cycle through the 5 volume levels (0-110dB). Select the desired volume for your environment.

6.2 Changing Ringtones

Short press the Forward Button (▲) or Backward Button (▼) on the receiver to change the ringtone. The receiver will play the selected ringtone immediately.

6.3 Expanding Your System

You can add multiple SURFOU receivers and transmitters (sensors) of the same model to expand your door chime system. Each sensor can be paired to a unique ringtone and number on the receiver for easy identification of the triggered entry point.

7. Maintenance

7.1 Cleaning

Wipe the receiver and sensor with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents, as they may damage the surface.

7.2 Battery Replacement (Sensor)

The sensor is powered by a 12V 23A alkaline battery. When the sensor's LED indicator no longer flashes or the signal becomes weak, it's time to replace the battery. To replace:

1. Carefully open the sensor casing.
2. Remove the old battery.
3. Insert a new 12V 23A alkaline battery, ensuring correct polarity.
4. Close the casing securely.
