4. Setup

4.1. Refilling Butane Gas

The Sondiko S907 Butane Torch is shipped without butane gas. It must be refilled before first use. Use only high-quality butane gas. The transparent fuel gauge allows you to monitor the gas level and avoid overfilling.

  1. Ensure the torch is turned off and cooled down.
  2. Invert the torch and locate the gas filling valve at the bottom.
  3. If your butane canister has a short nozzle, attach the red adapter included in the box to the canister nozzle. For long nozzles, no adapter is needed.
  4. Press the butane canister nozzle firmly into the torch's gas filling valve. Hold for approximately 5-10 seconds. You may hear a hissing sound and see some liquid butane escaping, which is normal.
  5. Release and repeat the process 2-3 times until the fuel gauge indicates a full or near-full level. Do not overfill.
  6. Allow a few minutes for the gas to stabilize before attempting to ignite the torch.

  • Rotate the regulator knob towards the '-' symbol for a smaller, softer flame.
  • The maximum temperature can reach up to 1371°C (2500°F).

6. Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Wipe the torch body with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or immerse the torch in water.
  • Storage: Store the torch in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and heat sources. Ensure the torch is empty of butane or the safety lock is engaged to prevent accidental ignition.
  • Inspection: Periodically check the torch for any signs of damage or leaks. If a leak is suspected, do not use the torch and contact customer support.

7. Troubleshooting

Problem Possible Cause Solution
Torch does not ignite. No butane gas; air in the tank; igniter malfunction. Refill with butane; purge air by pressing the filling valve with a small tool; ensure igniter button is fully pressed.
Flame is weak or inconsistent. Low butane level; flame regulator set too low; improper butane quality. Refill butane; adjust flame regulator to a higher setting; use high-quality butane.
Gas leaks from the filling valve. Improper refilling technique; damaged valve. Ensure butane canister is pressed firmly and vertically; do not overfill; if damage is suspected, discontinue use and contact support.
Flame goes out unexpectedly. Low butane level; safety lock not engaged for continuous flame. Refill butane; engage the safety lock for continuous operation.
