2. Important Safety Instructions

4. Setup and Installation
The EdgeStar DWP63 is designed for countertop use and does not require permanent installation. It can be operated by manually filling the water tank or by connecting to a kitchen faucet.
4.1 Placement
- Place the dishwasher on a stable, level surface near a sink for drainage.
- Ensure adequate clearance around the unit for proper ventilation and operation.
4.2 Water Supply Options
Your dishwasher offers two methods for water supply:
- Manual Water Tank Fill: Use the provided pitcher and funnel to manually fill the water tank located on the top of the unit. The dishwasher will beep when the tank is full.
- Faucet Connection: Connect the provided inlet hose to a compatible kitchen faucet. Ensure the connection is secure to prevent leaks.
4.3 Drainage
Connect the drainage hose to your sink. The hose should be positioned to allow water to drain freely without kinks or obstructions.

5. Operating Your Dishwasher
5.1 Loading Dishes
- Scrape off large food scraps before loading dishes.
- Place dishes, bowls, and cups facing downwards for optimal cleaning.
- Utilize the cutlery basket for silverware.
- The dishwasher can accommodate up to six place settings.

5.2 Adding Detergent
Add professional dishwasher detergent (powder or liquid) to the dispenser located on the inner door. Do not use hand dish soap.

5.3 Selecting a Wash Cycle
The LED display with digital controls allows you to choose from seven wash cycles:
- Heavy: For heavily soiled dishes.
- Normal: For regular daily loads.
- Light: For lightly soiled dishes.
- Glass: For delicate glassware.
- Baby Care: For sanitizing baby bottles and items.
- Speed: A quick wash for lightly soiled items.
- Rinse: For rinsing dishes before a full wash or for fruit washing.
The control panel also includes a child lock function and a delayed start feature.

5.4 Starting a Cycle
- Close the dishwasher door securely.
- Press the Power button to turn on the unit.
- Select your desired wash cycle using the program buttons.
- Press the Start/Pause button to begin the wash cycle.
6. Care and Maintenance
6.1 Cleaning the Filter
Regularly clean the filter located at the bottom of the dishwasher to ensure optimal performance. Remove the filter by twisting and lifting, rinse under running water to remove food particles, and reinsert securely.
