1. Introduction

Thank you for choosing the Yuposl Automatic Pet Feeder. This device is designed to provide scheduled and portion-controlled meals for your pets, ensuring their health and convenience for pet owners. Please read this manual thoroughly before use to ensure proper operation and maintenance.

This feeder is suitable for both dogs and cats.

2. Safety Information

  • Do not immerse the main unit in water. The main unit is not washable. If it gets dirty, wipe it with a damp cloth.
  • Ensure the power adapter cable is placed where pets cannot chew on it. The product includes a 1.5-meter braided anti-chew cable.
  • Use only dry pet food with a size between 2mm and 15mm. Do not use wet food or food exceeding 15mm to prevent clogging.
  • Keep out of reach of children.
  • Always ensure the feeder is placed on a stable, level surface.
  • Do not disassemble or repair the device yourself. Contact customer support if issues arise.

5. Setup

5.1 Assembly

  1. Unpack all components and ensure they are intact.
  2. Place the stainless steel food bowl onto the feeder base.
  3. Open the top lid and insert the desiccant bag into its designated slot to maintain food freshness.
  4. Fill the food tank with dry pet food (2-15mm size recommended).
  5. Close the lid securely, ensuring the safety lock is engaged to prevent pets from opening it.

5.2 Power Supply

The feeder supports two power options:

  • AC Power: Connect the Type-C power adapter to the feeder and plug it into a wall outlet. Use the provided 1.5-meter braided anti-chew cable to protect against pet damage.
  • Battery Backup: For power outage protection, install 3 D-size alkaline batteries (not included) into the battery compartment at the bottom of the unit. The battery life can last up to 180 days.

5.3 Initial Configuration

Before setting meal schedules, unlock the screen on the indicator panel.

6. Operating Instructions

6.1 Setting Meal Schedules

The feeder allows up to 6 meals per day, with 1 to 16 portions per meal.

  1. Press the "SET" button to enter programming mode.
  2. Use the "UP" and "DOWN" buttons to adjust the current time. Press "SET" to confirm.
  3. Set the first meal time (e.g., 05:00 AM) and the number of portions (e.g., 2 portions). Press "SET" to confirm.
  4. Repeat for up to 6 meals, setting the time and portions for each.
  5. Once all desired meals are set, exit programming mode. The feeder will automatically dispense food daily according to your schedule.

6.2 Manual Feeding

To dispense food manually, press the manual feed button. This is useful for extra treats or unexpected feeding needs.

6.3 Portion Control Guide

The following table provides a general guide for daily intake and recommended serving sizes. Adjust according to your pet's specific needs and veterinary advice.

7. Maintenance and Cleaning

Regular cleaning ensures hygiene and extends the life of your feeder.

  • Food Bowl: The stainless steel food bowl is removable and washable. It is also dishwasher safe.
  • Food Tank: The food tank can be detached for cleaning. Wash with mild soap and water, then rinse thoroughly and dry completely before reassembling.
  • Main Unit: The main unit, which contains electronic components, is NOT washable. Wipe it clean with a damp cloth.
  • Desiccant Bag: Replace the desiccant bag periodically (e.g., monthly) to maintain optimal food freshness.

8. Troubleshooting

  • Food tank is empty.
  • Food chute is clogged.

  • Check for blockages in the chute. The feeder has an anti-clogging design that attempts to clear blockages automatically.
  • Verify meal times and portions are correctly set.
  • Unlock the screen before making settings adjustments.
Feeder not powering on.
  • Power adapter not connected.
  • Batteries are depleted or incorrectly installed.
  • Ensure the power adapter is securely connected to both the feeder and the outlet.
  • Replace D-size batteries or ensure they are inserted with correct polarity.
Food not fresh.
  • Lid not properly sealed.
  • Desiccant bag needs replacement.
  • Ensure the lid is closed tightly and the safety lock is engaged.
  • Replace the desiccant bag.
Pet accessing food manually.
  • Safety lock not engaged.
  • Ensure the safety lock on the lid is properly engaged after refilling.
