Introduction

Setup

Gimbal Balancing

Proper balancing is crucial for optimal gimbal performance and battery life. Follow these steps to balance your SCORP 2 gimbal:

1. Balance the Tilt axis up and down: Unlock the Tilt axis motor lock. Hold the camera lens vertically upward and observe the tilt direction of the camera. If the camera lens tilts to one end, it means that the center of gravity is biased toward that end. Unlock the sliding arm fixed lock. Move the sliding arm in the opposite direction of the tilt until the camera can maintain balance when you let go. At this point, lock the sliding arm fixed lock.
2. Balance the Tilt axis front and rear: Keep the camera lens facing forward horizontally. Observe the camera's tilt direction. If the camera lens is tilted to one end, it means that the center of gravity is biased toward that end. Unlock the quick release fixed lock at this time. Move the camera in the opposite direction of the tilt until the camera lens remains level and facing forward. Once achieved, it indicates that the front and rear leveling of the pitch axis is completed. Lock the quick-release fixed lock.
3. Balance the Roll axis: Open the roll axis motor lock. Release the camera and observe its tilt direction. If the camera is tilted to one side, you need to loosen the cross arm fixing knob. Move the cross arm in the opposite direction of the tilt until it is level. Tighten the cross arm fixing knob.
4. Balance the Pan axis: Open the yaw axis motor lock. Turn the camera sideways. Hold the stabilizer handle and tilt the stabilizer forward. If the camera is tilted to one side, it means that the center of gravity is biased toward the inclined end. Loosen the vertical arm fixing knob. Move the vertical arm in the opposite direction of the tilt until it is level. Tighten the vertical arm fixing knob.

Camera Horizontal Installation

Follow these steps for horizontal camera installation:

1. Before installing the camera, unfold the stabilizer to the balance lock state.
2. Unlock the roll axis and pan axis motor locks, unfold the axis arms, and then lock them.
3. Unlock the sliding arm lock. Pick up the slider.
4. Slide the slider into the pan axis chute in the direction shown in the video. Lock the sliding arm fixed lock.
5. Pick up the quick-release plate and Camera backing base combination with the camera fixing screws installed.
6. Install the quick-release plate into the 1/4 inch threaded hole on the bottom of the camera and use a hex wrench to tighten the camera fixing screw.
7. Install the lens holder on the front of the quick-release plate.
8. After unlocking the quick-release plate fixed lock, slide the quick-release plate into the slider as shown in the video. Lock the quick-release plate fixed lock at the same time.

Camera Vertical Installation

The SCORP 2 features an upgraded quick-installation system for instant vertical filming. Follow these steps:

1. Unlock the sliding arm lock. Pick up the slider.
2. Slide the slider into the pan axis chute in the direction shown in the video. Lock the sliding arm fixed lock.
3. Pick up the quick-release plate and Camera backing base combination with the camera fixing screws installed.
4. Install the quick-release plate into the 1/4 inch threaded hole on the bottom of the camera and use a hex wrench to tighten the camera fixing screw.
5. Install the lens holder on the front of the quick-release plate.
6. Slide the quick-release plate into the slider as shown in the video. Lock the quick-release plate fixed lock at the same time.

Operating

Built-in AI Tracking Sensor

The SCORP 2 features an integrated AI tracking module for intelligent shooting without additional accessories. Use simple gestures to control tracking and camera functions:

• Make an 'OK' gesture to enable subject tracking.
