Thank you for purchasing the SENCOR SWS 5400 Weather Station. This device provides comprehensive weather information including indoor and outdoor temperature, humidity, and a weather forecast. It also features a projection clock and alarm functions. Please read this manual carefully before use to ensure proper operation and to maximize the lifespan of your product.

Setup

  1. Powering the Main Unit:
    • Insert 2x 1.5V AA batteries (not included) into the main unit's battery compartment.
    • Connect the provided power adapter to the main unit and plug it into a power outlet. The display will light up.
  2. Powering the Remote Sensor:
    • Insert 2x 1.5V AAA batteries (not included) into the remote sensor's battery compartment.
    • Place the remote sensor outdoors in a sheltered location, away from direct sunlight and rain, to ensure accurate readings. The transmission range is up to 70 meters in open areas.
  3. Sensor Pairing:
    • The main unit will automatically attempt to connect with the remote sensor. This may take a few minutes.
    • Once connected, the outdoor temperature and humidity will be displayed on the main unit.
  4. Initial Time and Date Setting:
    • The unit features a radio-controlled clock (DCF77 signal). It will automatically synchronize the time and date. This process can take several hours, especially during initial setup.
    • Manual time setting is also possible if the DCF77 signal is not available or desired. Refer to the "Operating Instructions" section for manual setting.

Operating Instructions

Button Functions:

Setting Time and Date Manually:

  1. Press and hold the MODE / SET button to enter time setting mode.
  2. Use the MAX / MIN buttons to adjust values.
  3. Press MODE / SET again to confirm and move to the next setting (e.g., 12/24 hour format, hour, minute, year, month, day, day of week language).
  4. Exit setting mode by pressing MODE / SET repeatedly or waiting for automatic exit.

Alarm Function:

  1. Press the ALARM button to view the alarm time.
  2. Press and hold ALARM to enter alarm setting mode.
  3. Use MAX / MIN to adjust the hour and minute.
  4. Press ALARM to confirm.
  5. To activate/deactivate the alarm, press the ALARM button briefly when not in setting mode. An alarm icon will appear/disappear on the display.
  6. When the alarm sounds, press SNOOZE / LIGHT for snooze function. Press any other button to stop the alarm for 24 hours.

Troubleshooting
