3. Setup Instructions

3.1 Assembling the Stand

  1. Unfold the double-X shaped stand to its desired height. The quick-release mechanism allows for height adjustment from 17 to 42 inches. Ensure the stand is stable on a flat surface.
  2. Place the MUSTAR digital piano securely on top of the stand. Ensure it is centered and stable.

3.2 Connecting Power and Accessories

  1. Connect the power adapter to the DC Power input port on the rear of the keyboard. Plug the other end into a standard electrical outlet.
  2. Plug the sustain pedal into the 6.5mm Sustain Pedal input port.
  3. If using headphones for silent practice, connect them to the 3.5mm Headphone Jack.
  4. For external audio output, use the Audio Out port. For external audio input, use the Audio In port.
  5. For MIDI connectivity with a computer or other devices, use the USB/MIDI port.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1 Basic Functions

  • Power: Press the Power button to turn the instrument on or off.
  • Volume: Use the Volume knob to adjust the overall sound level.

4.2 Tones and Rhythms

The MEP-1400 features 8 distinct voices (tones) and 128 preset rhythms. Refer to the control panel markings for selecting specific tones and rhythms. The built-in 2x25W speakers provide clear sound output.

4.3 Semi-Weighted Keys

The 88 semi-weighted keys are designed to respond to your touch, allowing for expressive playing. Playing with more force produces louder tones, while a softer touch results in quieter sounds. This feature provides a dynamic playing experience.

4.6 Silent Mode

For private practice, connect headphones to the 3.5mm headphone jack. This mutes the internal speakers, allowing you to play without disturbing others.

4.7 Sustain Pedal

The included sustain pedal allows you to sustain notes, similar to an acoustic piano. Press the pedal down to sustain notes and release it to stop the sustain effect.

5. Maintenance
