5. Setup and Installation
5.1 Receiver Installation and Wiring
- Power Disconnection: Before any wiring, ensure the main power supply to your heating system is turned off at the circuit breaker.
- Mounting: Mount the receiver unit near your boiler. It is recommended to place it in an accessible location for wiring.
- Wiring: Connect the receiver to your boiler according to the boiler's wiring diagram and local electrical codes. This typically involves connecting live, neutral, and switched live wires. If you are unsure, consult a qualified electrician.
- Power On: Once wiring is complete and secure, restore power to the heating system. The receiver's power indicator should light up.
5.2 Thermostat Unit Placement and Power
- Placement: The thermostat unit can be wall-mounted or placed on a desktop. Choose a central location in the room you wish to control, away from direct heat sources, drafts, or direct sunlight. The wireless range between the thermostat and receiver is up to 30 meters.
- Wall Mounting: If wall-mounting, use the provided mounting plate (if applicable) and screws. Ensure the back of the thermostat is securely attached.

8. Troubleshooting
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Thermostat display is blank | No power (batteries dead, USB disconnected, receiver power off) | Check batteries or USB connection. Ensure receiver has power and main power to heating system is on. |
| Heating system not responding | Receiver not powered, receiver not paired with thermostat, wiring issue, boiler fault | Check receiver power and indicator lights. Re-pair thermostat and receiver if necessary. Verify wiring connections. Consult boiler manual. |
| WiFi connection fails | Incorrect WiFi password, 5GHz network, weak signal, router issues | Ensure correct 2.4GHz WiFi network and password. Move thermostat closer to router. Restart router. |
| Inaccurate temperature reading | Thermostat placed in unsuitable location (drafts, direct sun, near heat source) | Relocate the thermostat to a more appropriate position. |
