This manual provides instructions for the setup, operation, and maintenance of your XINJISHIMIN replacement remote control. 3. Setup

3.1 Battery Installation

  1. Locate the battery compartment cover on the back of the remote control.
  2. Slide the cover downwards to open the compartment.
  3. Insert two (2) AAA batteries, ensuring the positive (+) and negative (-) terminals match the markings inside the compartment.
  4. Slide the battery compartment cover back into place until it clicks securely.

Note: Ensure batteries are inserted correctly. Incorrect insertion may prevent the remote from functioning.

3.2 Wall Mounting Bracket Installation

  1. Choose a suitable location on a wall, away from direct sunlight or heat sources.
  2. Use screws (not included) to secure the wall mounting bracket to the desired surface.
  3. Place the remote control into the bracket for convenient storage.

4. Operating Instructions

Point the remote control directly at the indoor unit of your air conditioner. Ensure there are no obstructions between the remote and the unit.

4.1 Button Functions

  • ON/OFF: Press to turn the air conditioner unit on or off.
  • MODE: Press to cycle through operating modes: Auto, Cool, Dry, Heat, Fan.
  • FAN: Press to adjust the fan speed: Auto, Low, Medium, High.
  • TEMP ▲ / ▼: Press to increase or decrease the set temperature.
  • SLEEP: Activates or deactivates the sleep mode, which adjusts temperature for comfortable sleep and energy saving.
  • TURBO: Activates or deactivates the turbo function for rapid cooling or heating.
  • SHORT CUT: Recalls your preferred settings.
  • TIMER ON: Sets a timer for the unit to turn on automatically.
  • TIMER OFF: Sets a timer for the unit to turn off automatically.
  • SWING: Controls the horizontal louver swing.
  • DIRECT: Controls the vertical louver direction.
  • LED: Turns the display light on the indoor unit on or off.

4.2 Changing Temperature Units (°F / °C)

To switch between Fahrenheit (°F) and Celsius (°C) display:

  1. Ensure the remote control is active.
  2. Press and hold the TEMP ▲ and TEMP ▼ buttons simultaneously for approximately 3 seconds.
  3. The temperature unit on the display will change. Repeat the process to switch back.

5. Maintenance

5.1 Battery Replacement

When the remote control display dims or the remote becomes unresponsive, it is time to replace the batteries. Follow the steps in Section 3.1 to replace the two (2) AAA batteries. Always replace both batteries at the same time with new ones.

5.2 Cleaning the Remote Control

Wipe the surface of the remote control with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use liquid cleaners, abrasive cleaners, or chemical sprays, as these can damage the remote's surface or internal components.

6. Troubleshooting

  • Remote not responding:
    • Check if the batteries are inserted correctly and have sufficient charge. Replace if necessary.
    • Ensure there are no obstructions between the remote control and the air conditioner's indoor unit.
    • Verify that you are within the effective operating range of the air conditioner.
  • Incorrect temperature unit displayed:
    • Refer to Section 4.2 for instructions on how to switch between Fahrenheit and Celsius.
