4. Setup

4.1. Battery Installation

  1. Open the battery compartment cover on the back of the handset.
  2. Insert the two supplied AAA rechargeable batteries, observing the correct polarity (+ and -).
  3. Close the battery compartment cover securely.

4.2. Connecting the Base Unit

  1. Connect one end of the telephone line cord to the TEL LINE jack on the base unit.
  2. Connect the other end of the telephone line cord to your telephone wall jack.
  3. Plug the small end of the AC power adapter into the DC IN 6V jack on the base unit.
  4. Plug the large end of the AC power adapter into a standard electrical outlet.

4.3. Initial Handset Charging

Place the handset on the base unit to charge. The handset should be charged for at least 6 hours before initial use to ensure optimal battery performance.

4.4. Handset Registration

Typically, the handset automatically pairs with the base unit. If the handset displays 'Unregistered' or similar, follow these steps:

  1. On the handset, navigate to the registration option in the menu.
  2. Enter the default PIN: 0000.
  3. Press and hold the signaling button on the base station for approximately 7 seconds until the registration indicator on the base unit flashes.
  4. The handset will display a confirmation message upon successful registration.

You can connect up to 4 handsets to one base unit for use in multiple rooms.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1. Making and Receiving Calls

  • To Make a Call: Press the TALK button, then dial the number. Alternatively, dial the number first and then press TALK.
  • To Receive a Call: When the phone rings, press the TALK button.
  • To End a Call: Press the END button or place the handset back on the base/charger.

5.2. Using the Speakerphone

During a call, press the SPEAKER button to activate the speakerphone function. Press it again to switch back to the earpiece.

5.3. Caller ID and Call Waiting

When you subscribe to Caller ID service, the caller's name and number will appear on the handset display. With Call Waiting, you will hear a tone if another call comes in while you are on the phone. Press the FLASH button to switch between calls.

5.4. Phonebook Management

The phonebook can store up to 100 names and numbers.

  • To Add a Contact: Navigate to the Phonebook menu, select 'Add New', enter the name and number, then save.
  • To Search/Dial from Phonebook: Press the PHONEBOOK button, scroll through entries, and press TALK to dial.
