Introduction
This manual provides instructions for the ECONTROLLY replacement remote control, designed for use with various Yamaha A/V Home Theater Receivers. This infrared remote control does not require programming and is ready for use after battery installation.

Setup
Battery Installation
The remote control requires two AAA ALKALINE batteries for operation. Rechargeable batteries are not supported.
- Locate the battery compartment cover on the back of the remote control.
- Slide the cover downwards or press the latch and lift to open.
- Insert two AAA ALKALINE batteries, ensuring the positive (+) and negative (-) terminals align correctly with the markings inside the compartment.
- Replace the battery compartment cover by sliding it back into place until it clicks securely.
Note: Batteries are not included with the remote control.
Operating the Remote Control
This remote control is pre-programmed and ready to use with compatible Yamaha A/V receivers. Ensure there is a clear line of sight between the remote's infrared emitter and the receiver's sensor.

Key Functions Overview:
- Power (MAIN, ZONE2): Turns the main unit or Zone 2 on/off.
- Source Selection (SOURCE, HDMI, AV, TUNER, USB, NET, PHONO): Selects the input source for the receiver.
- Volume (+/-): Adjusts the audio output volume.
- MUTE: Silences the audio output.
- Navigation (Arrow Keys, ENTER): Used to navigate menus and confirm selections.
- SCENE Buttons: Pre-set buttons for quick access to specific listening modes or settings.
- MENU (TOP MENU, POP-UP MENU, RETURN, DISPLAY): Controls on-screen display and menu navigation.
- Numeric Keypad (0-9, +10, ENT): For direct input of channel numbers or other numerical data.
- Playback Controls (MODE, TUNING, PRESET): For controlling media playback and radio functions.
Maintenance
Cleaning
To clean the remote control, gently wipe it with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use liquid cleaners, abrasive pads, or chemical solvents, as these may damage the surface or internal components.
Battery Replacement
Replace batteries when the remote's response becomes sluggish or stops working. Always replace both batteries at the same time with new AAA ALKALINE batteries. Do not mix old and new batteries or different types of batteries.
Storage
If the remote control will not be used for an extended period, remove the batteries to prevent leakage and potential damage to the device.
Troubleshooting
Remote Control Not Responding
- Check Batteries: Ensure batteries are inserted correctly with the correct polarity (+/-) and are not depleted. Replace with fresh AAA ALKALINE batteries if necessary.
- Line of Sight: Verify that there are no obstructions between the remote control and the infrared sensor on your Yamaha receiver.
- Distance: Ensure you are within the effective operating range of the remote control.
- Compatibility: Confirm that your Yamaha receiver model is listed as compatible with this remote control.
Specific Buttons Not Working
- Clean the remote control surface, especially around the unresponsive buttons, to remove any dirt or debris that might be interfering.
- Replace batteries, as low power can sometimes cause intermittent button functionality.
