5. Installation (Setup)

This faucet is designed for single-hole, deck-mounted installation. Follow these general steps:

  1. Prepare the Installation Area: Turn off the hot and cold water supply valves under the sink. Clear the area around the faucet hole on the sink or countertop.
  2. Install the Faucet:
    • Place the faucet body through the single hole in the sink or countertop.
    • From underneath the sink, secure the faucet using the provided rubber gasket, metal washer, and mounting nut. Hand-tighten first, then use a basin wrench to gently tighten until secure. Do not overtighten.
  3. Connect Water Supply Lines:
    • Connect the hot and cold water supply lines from the faucet to the corresponding hot and cold water supply valves. Ensure connections are tight but do not overtighten.
    • Use thread seal tape on threaded connections for a watertight seal, if not already pre-applied.
  4. Install Pop-Up Drain Assembly:
    • Follow the specific instructions provided with the pop-up drain assembly for proper installation into the sink drain hole. This typically involves placing gaskets and tightening nuts from underneath the sink.
    • Ensure the drain stopper mechanism operates smoothly.
  5. Test for Leaks:
    • Slowly turn on the hot and cold water supply valves.
    • Check all connections for leaks. If leaks are present, turn off the water supply and re-tighten the connections.
    • Operate the faucet to ensure proper water flow and temperature mixing.

6. Operation

The Riobel NBS01TH Nibi Faucet features a single lever handle for easy control:

  • Water Flow: Lift the handle upwards to increase water flow. Push it downwards to decrease or turn off the water.
  • Water Temperature: Move the handle to the left for hot water and to the right for cold water. Adjust the position between left and right to achieve the desired water temperature.

7. Maintenance and Care

Proper care will ensure the longevity and appearance of your Riobel faucet:

  • Cleaning: Clean the faucet regularly with a soft, damp cloth and mild soap. Avoid abrasive cleaners, harsh chemicals, or scouring pads, as these can damage the brushed gold finish.
  • Water Spots: To prevent water spots, wipe the faucet dry after each use.
  • Aerator Maintenance: Periodically unscrew the aerator at the end of the spout and clean any debris or mineral buildup. This helps maintain optimal water flow.
  • Avoid Damage: Do not use tools to tighten the handle or any visible parts, as this may cause damage.
