5. Maintenance

  • Regular Cleaning: Periodically clean the camera lenses with a soft, damp cloth to ensure clear image quality. Avoid abrasive cleaners.
  • Firmware Updates: Check the manufacturer's website or the RviewPro app for available firmware updates to ensure optimal performance and security.
  • Hard Drive Management: The NVR's 2TB HDD will automatically overwrite older footage when full. Regularly back up important recordings if needed.
  • Cable Inspection: Periodically inspect all Ethernet cables for any signs of wear or damage, especially in outdoor installations.

6. Troubleshooting

  • No Video Display:
    • Ensure the NVR is powered on and the power adapter is securely connected.
    • Verify that the monitor/TV is correctly connected to the NVR via HDMI or VGA and is set to the correct input source.
    • Check if cameras are properly connected to the NVR's PoE ports.
  • No Remote Access:
    • Confirm the NVR is connected to your router with an Ethernet cable and has internet access.
    • Ensure the RviewPro app is updated to the latest version.
    • Verify the NVR's Cloud ID or Serial Number is correctly entered in the app.
    • Check your router's firewall settings; ensure they are not blocking the NVR's connection.
  • Poor Image Quality:
    • Clean the camera lens for any dirt or obstructions.
    • Ensure the camera is securely mounted and not vibrating.
    • Check cable connections for any damage or loose contacts.
  • False Motion Alerts:
    • Adjust the motion detection sensitivity settings in the NVR or app.
    • Refine the detection zones to exclude areas with frequent non-threatening movement (e.g., trees, busy roads).
