3. Setup
3.1. Charging the System
Before first use, fully charge the receiver and all transmitters using the provided charging case and USB-C cable. The charging case itself can be charged via its USB-C port. The system supports charging while in use.
3.2. Connecting to Your Device
The Vimo Q offers both USB-C digital and 3.5mm analog outputs for broad compatibility:
- For Cameras: Use the 3.5mm TRS-TRS audio cable to connect the receiver's 3.5mm output to your camera's microphone input.
- For Smartphones/PCs (3.5mm Jack): Use the 3.5mm TRS-TRRS audio cable to connect the receiver's 3.5mm output to your smartphone or PC's headphone/microphone combo jack.
- For Smartphones/PCs (USB-C): Connect the receiver directly to your device's USB-C port using a compatible USB-C cable.
3.3. Powering On/Off and Pairing
To power on the system, simply remove the transmitters and receiver from the charging case. They will automatically power on and attempt to pair. Once paired, the receiver's screen will display the audio levels for each connected transmitter. To power off, place the units back into the charging case.
4. Operating Instructions
4.1. One-key Denoise Function
Each transmitter is equipped with a one-key denoise function. Press the dedicated denoise button on the transmitter to activate or deactivate the noise reduction algorithm. This helps to filter out ambient noise in challenging recording environments.
4.2. Real-time Monitoring
Connect headphones to the receiver's 3.5mm headphone jack to monitor your audio in real-time. This allows you to check recording status and adjust settings as needed.
