1. Important Safeguards
When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should always be followed to reduce the risk of fire, electric shock, and/or injury to persons, including the following:
- Read all instructions before using the roaster oven.
- Do not touch hot surfaces. Use handles or knobs.
- To protect against electric shock, do not immerse the main body of the roaster oven in water or other liquid.
- Close supervision is necessary when any appliance is used by or near children.
- Unplug from outlet when not in use and before cleaning. Allow to cool before putting on or taking off parts.
- Do not operate any appliance with a damaged cord or plug, or after the appliance malfunctions or has been damaged in any manner.
- The use of accessory attachments not recommended by the appliance manufacturer may cause injuries.
- Do not use outdoors.
- Do not let cord hang over edge of table or counter, or touch hot surfaces.
- Do not place on or near a hot gas or electric burner, or in a heated oven.

- Always attach plug to appliance first, then plug cord into the wall outlet. To disconnect, turn any control to 'off', then remove plug from wall outlet.
- Do not use appliance for other than intended use.
- Caution: Hot Surface. The exterior surfaces of the roaster oven will become hot during operation. Always use oven mitts or pot holders when handling.
- Do not scrub the removable pan with a steel wool ball as this can damage the coating. Always dry the pan thoroughly after cleaning.

3. Before First Use
Before using your new Sunvivi Electric Roaster Oven for the first time, please follow these steps:
- Remove all packaging materials, labels, and tags from the roaster oven.
- Wash the removable roasting pan, roasting rack, and lid in hot, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly and dry completely.
- Wipe the exterior of the roaster oven body with a soft, damp cloth. Do not immerse the roaster oven body in water.
- It is recommended to operate the roaster oven empty for approximately 30 minutes at 350°F (175°C) before first use to burn off any manufacturing oils. This may produce a slight odor and smoke, which is normal. Ensure adequate ventilation during this process.
4. Setup
Setting up your roaster oven is quick and easy:
- Place the roaster oven body on a stable, heat-resistant surface.
- Insert the clean removable roasting pan into the roaster oven body.
- Place the roasting rack inside the removable roasting pan.
- Position the lid securely on top of the roasting pan and roaster body.
5. Operating Instructions
The Sunvivi Electric Roaster Oven offers versatile cooking options with its adjustable temperature control and special functions.

5.1. Temperature Control
The roaster oven features a full-range temperature control from 150°F to 450°F, along with dedicated Defrost and Keep Warm functions. The indicator light will illuminate when the unit is heating and turn off once the set temperature is reached.
5.2. General Roasting and Baking
- Prepare your food item (e.g., turkey, roast, casserole) and place it on the roasting rack within the removable pan.
- Place the lid on the roaster.
- Turn the temperature control knob to your desired cooking temperature. The indicator light will turn on.
- Cook until the food reaches the appropriate internal temperature.
- Once cooking is complete, turn the knob to 'OFF' and unplug the unit.

5.3. Defrost Function
The unique Defrost setting allows you to thaw frozen items quickly and efficiently, reducing preparation time.
- Place the frozen food item (e.g., turkey) on the roasting rack inside the removable pan.
- Place the lid on the roaster.
- Turn the temperature control knob to the 'DEFROST' setting.
- Monitor the thawing process. Once thawed, you can proceed with cooking or remove the item.

5.4. Keep Warm Function
The Keep Warm setting is ideal for maintaining food at an optimal serving temperature without overcooking.
- After cooking, turn the temperature control knob to the 'KEEP WARM' setting.
- Ensure the lid remains on the roaster to retain heat and moisture.
- Food can be kept warm for extended periods until ready to serve.
5.5. Convenient Visible Lid Design
The roaster oven features a unique visible lid, allowing you to monitor your food without lifting the lid. This helps to:
- Reduce heat loss and maintain a consistent cooking temperature.
- Prevent steam burns from escaping hot steam.

6. Cleaning and Maintenance
Proper cleaning and maintenance will ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your Sunvivi Electric Roaster Oven.
6.1. Cleaning the Removable Parts
- Ensure the roaster oven is unplugged and completely cooled before cleaning.
- Remove the lid, roasting rack, and removable roasting pan.
- Wash these parts in hot, soapy water. The enamel-on-steel roasting pan is designed for easy cleaning.
- Rinse thoroughly and dry completely before reassembling or storing. Do not use abrasive cleaners or steel wool on the roasting pan.
6.2. Cleaning the Roaster Oven Body
- Wipe the exterior of the roaster oven body with a soft, damp cloth.
- Do not immerse the roaster oven body in water or any other liquid.
- Ensure the body is completely dry before plugging it back in or storing.

7. Troubleshooting

- Appliance does not turn on: Ensure the power cord is securely plugged into a working electrical outlet. Check your household circuit breaker or fuse box.
- Food is not cooking evenly: Ensure the lid is properly seated on the roaster. Avoid frequently lifting the lid during cooking, as this can cause heat loss.
- Food is cooking too slowly: Verify that the temperature control knob is set to the correct temperature for your recipe. Allow sufficient preheating time.
- Odor or smoke during initial use: This is normal for the first use as manufacturing oils burn off. Ensure adequate ventilation. If odors or smoke persist after initial use, discontinue use and contact customer support.
