3. Setup

3.1 Before First Use

  1. Ensure the iron is unplugged and cooled down.
  2. Open the water filler cap located on the top of the iron.
  3. Using a measuring cup, carefully pour clean tap water into the water tank up to the 'MAX' fill line. Do not overfill.
  4. Close the water filler cap securely.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1 Temperature and Fabric Settings

Select the appropriate temperature setting based on the fabric type. Always check the garment's care label.

  1. Place the iron on its heel rest on a stable surface.
  2. Plug the iron into a suitable power outlet.
  3. Turn the temperature control dial to the desired fabric setting (e.g., Silk, Wool, Cotton, Linen). The indicator light will illuminate, showing the iron is heating.
  4. Wait for the indicator light to turn off, indicating the iron has reached the selected temperature.

4.2 Dry Ironing

For dry ironing, ensure the steam control is set to the 'OFF' position. Select the desired temperature and iron the garment once the indicator light turns off.

4.3 Steam Ironing

Steam ironing is suitable for most fabrics, especially those requiring moisture to remove wrinkles effectively.

  1. Fill the water tank as described in Section 3.2.
  2. Set the temperature control dial to a steam-suitable setting (usually Cotton or Linen, indicated on the dial).
  3. Once the iron reaches the set temperature (indicator light off), adjust the steam control to the desired steam level.
  4. Begin ironing.

4.4 Steam Burst Function

The steam burst function provides an extra surge of steam to tackle stubborn creases.

  • Press the 'Steam Burst' button (usually located on the handle) to release a powerful burst of steam.
  • Allow a few seconds between bursts to ensure optimal steam generation.

4.5 Spray Function

The spray function allows you to dampen fabrics directly for easier ironing.

  • Press the 'Spray' button to release a fine mist of water onto the fabric.

4.6 Vertical Steaming

  1. Hang the garment on a hanger.
  2. Fill the water tank and set the iron to a high temperature (e.g., Linen).
  3. Hold the iron vertically, a few centimeters away from the fabric.
  4. Press the 'Steam Burst' button repeatedly while moving the iron up and down the garment.

5. Maintenance

5.1 Cleaning the Soleplate

To maintain optimal performance, clean the soleplate regularly.

  • Ensure the iron is unplugged and completely cool.
  • Wipe the soleplate with a damp cloth and a non-abrasive cleaner.
  • Do not use harsh scouring pads or metallic cleaners, as these can damage the Teflon coating.
