4. Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your RK-K8 keyboard, please refer to the following common solutions:
- Keyboard not responding in Wireless/Bluetooth mode:
- Ensure the keyboard is charged.
- Verify the connection mode switch is in the correct position (2.4G or BT).
- For 2.4G, ensure the USB receiver is securely plugged into a working USB port.
- For Bluetooth, ensure the keyboard is paired to the correct channel (FN+Q/W/E) and your device's Bluetooth is enabled. Try re-pairing if necessary.
- Test in wired mode to confirm basic functionality.
- Keys not registering or repeating:
- Check if any debris is under the keycap or switch.
- If using hot-swappable switches, ensure the switch is fully seated and its pins are not bent. Try replacing the switch with a spare one.
- Ensure the keyboard firmware is up to date (check manufacturer's website).
- Backlight not working or incorrect:
- Ensure the backlight is not turned off (FN+X).
- Adjust brightness (FN+↑/↓).
- Cycle through different effects (FN+|) to see if other effects work.
- Ensure the keyboard is sufficiently charged.
- Connectivity issues with KVM switches:
- Some KVM switches may have compatibility issues with wireless peripherals. Try connecting the keyboard directly to the computer or using wired mode with the KVM.
