Setup

  1. Unpacking: Carefully remove the iron from its packaging. Retain packaging for storage or future transport. Remove any protective films or stickers from the soleplate.
  2. First Use: Before first use, iron an old piece of damp cloth to remove any manufacturing residues from the soleplate. A slight odor or smoke may occur during the first few minutes of use; this is normal and will dissipate.
  3. Filling the Water Tank:
    • Ensure the iron is unplugged from the power outlet.
    • Set the steam control to the "Dry Ironing" or "No Steam" position.
    • Open the water tank filler cap.

Operating Instructions

1. Temperature Setting

Always check the garment's care label for recommended ironing temperature. If unsure, start with a lower temperature and test on an inconspicuous area.

  • Turn the temperature control dial to the desired setting (e.g., Synthetic, Silk, Wool, Cotton, Linen).
  • The indicator light will illuminate, indicating the iron is heating up.
  • Once the desired temperature is reached, the indicator light will turn off. The iron is now ready for use.

2. Dry Ironing

For dry ironing, ensure the water tank is empty or the steam control slider is set to the "Dry Ironing" (no steam) position. Select the appropriate temperature and wait for the iron to heat up.

3. Steam Ironing

Steam ironing is suitable for most fabrics, especially cotton and linen. Ensure the water tank is filled.

  • Set the temperature control dial to a steam-appropriate setting (usually between "Wool" and "Linen"). Steam will not be generated at low temperatures to prevent water dripping.
  • Once the iron reaches the set temperature (indicator light off), adjust the steam control slider to the desired steam level.
  • Move the iron smoothly over the fabric.

4. Vertical Steam Burst

This function is ideal for removing wrinkles from hanging garments, curtains, or drapes.

  • Ensure the water tank is filled and the iron is heated to a high temperature setting.
  • Hold the iron vertically, a few centimeters away from the fabric.
  • Press the steam burst button repeatedly to release powerful bursts of steam.

5. Spray Function

The spray function provides a fine mist of water to dampen stubborn creases.

  • Press the spray button to release water mist onto the fabric.

6. Auto Shut-off

For safety and energy efficiency, the iron will automatically shut off if left motionless:

  • Horizontally: After approximately 30 seconds.
  • Vertically (on its heel rest): After approximately 8 minutes.

To reactivate the iron, simply move it. The indicator light will flash and then turn off once the iron reheats to the set temperature.

Maintenance

1. Cleaning the Iron

  • Exterior: Unplug the iron and allow it to cool completely. Wipe the exterior with a damp cloth and then dry with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
  • Soleplate: If the soleplate becomes stained, clean it with a damp cloth and a non-abrasive cleaner specifically designed for iron soleplates. Avoid scratching the ceramic surface.

2. Self-Cleaning Function

The self-cleaning system helps remove mineral deposits and impurities from the steam chamber, prolonging the iron's life and maintaining steam performance. Perform this function monthly or as needed.

  1. Fill the water tank to the "MAX" line.
  2. Plug in the iron and set the temperature to maximum. Set the steam control to "Dry Ironing".
  3. Allow the iron to heat up until the indicator light turns off.
  4. Unplug the iron.
  5. Hold the iron horizontally over a sink.
  6. Press and hold the self-clean button (if available, otherwise use steam burst repeatedly) while gently shaking the iron back and forth. Hot water and steam will be expelled from the soleplate, carrying impurities.
  7. Continue until the water tank is empty.
  8. Plug the iron back in, heat it up, and iron an old cloth to dry the soleplate.

3. Storage

After use, unplug the iron and allow it to cool completely. Empty any remaining water from the tank. Store the iron upright on its heel rest in a safe, dry place.
