Toasting Bread:
- Plug the toaster into a suitable power outlet.
- Place up to two slices of bread into the toasting slots. The self-centering system will hold the bread in place for even toasting.
- Select your desired browning level using the browning control dial (1 for light toast, 7 for dark toast).
- Press down the carriage lever until it locks into place. The toasting cycle will begin, and the indicator light will illuminate.
- Once the selected browning level is reached, the toast will automatically pop up, and the toaster will switch off.
- If the toast is not sufficiently browned, you can lower the lever again for a short period.
- To remove smaller slices of bread safely, use the extra-lift system by gently pushing the carriage lever upwards after the toast has popped up. Alternatively, use the provided toast tongs.

6. Maintenance and Cleaning
Regular cleaning ensures optimal performance and extends the life of your toaster.
- Always unplug the toaster from the power outlet and allow it to cool completely before cleaning.
- Crumb Tray: Pull out the crumb tray from the bottom of the toaster. Dispose of crumbs and wipe the tray clean with a damp cloth. Reinsert the tray securely.
- Exterior: Wipe the exterior of the toaster with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or metal scouring pads, as these can scratch the surface.
- Interior: Never insert any objects into the toasting slots to clean them. If bread becomes jammed, unplug the toaster and carefully remove the bread after it has cooled.
- Do not immerse the toaster in water or any other liquid.
7. Troubleshooting
If you encounter any issues with your toaster, refer to the following common problems and solutions:
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Toaster does not turn on. | Not plugged in; power outage; faulty outlet. | Check power cord connection; check circuit breaker; try a different outlet. |
| Bread does not toast evenly. | Uneven bread thickness; crumb tray full. | Ensure bread slices are of similar thickness; clean crumb tray. The self-centering system helps, but very irregular slices may still toast unevenly. |
| Bread is stuck in the toaster. | Bread too large or thick; carriage lever not fully raised. | Unplug the toaster, allow to cool, then carefully remove bread. Use the extra-lift system or tongs. |
| Smoke coming from toaster. | Crumb tray full; food lodged in slots; first use residue. | Press Cancel, unplug, allow to cool. Clean crumb tray. Remove any food particles. For first use, this is normal. |
If the problem persists after trying these solutions, please contact customer support.
