Setup and Installation

The ARPHA D180 Keyless Entry Door Lock is designed for easy installation. A screwdriver is the primary tool required.

Door Compatibility Check

Ensure your door meets the following specifications:

  • Backset Scale Range: 2-3/8 inches (60mm) or 2-1/8 inches (70mm)
  • Door Thickness: 1-3/8 inches to 2-1/8 inches (35 mm - 55 mm)

The lock can automatically identify left and right-handed doors during installation.

Installation Steps

  1. Prepare the Door: Ensure the door is properly drilled according to the provided template (if applicable, usually included with physical product).
  2. Install the Latch: Insert the latch into the door edge and secure it with screws. Ensure the latch bolt faces the correct direction.
  3. Install the Exterior Assembly: Feed the cable from the exterior keypad assembly through the door hole. Align the exterior assembly with the latch.
  4. Install the Mounting Plate: Secure the mounting plate to the interior side of the door, ensuring the cable passes through the plate.
  5. Connect the Cable: Connect the cable from the exterior assembly to the interior assembly.
  6. Install the Interior Assembly: Attach the interior assembly to the mounting plate and secure it with screws.
  7. Install Batteries: Insert 4 AA batteries (not included) into the battery compartment of the interior assembly.
  8. Test Operation: After installation, test the lock's functionality using the default code or a newly programmed code.

Operating Instructions

Unlocking the Door

  • Using a Passcode:
    1. Enter your 6-10 digit user passcode on the keypad.
    2. Press the # key to confirm.
    3. The lock will unlock.
  • Using Anti-Peeping Password:

    To enhance security, you can enter random digits before or after your actual passcode.

    1. Enter any random digits (e.g., 123).
    2. Enter your actual 6-10 digit passcode (e.g., 354705).
    3. Enter any additional random digits (e.g., 789).
    4. Press the # key to confirm.
    5. Example: 123354705789#

  • Using the Key:

    In case of emergency or battery depletion, use the physical key to unlock the deadbolt.

Locking the Door

  • One-Touch Locking:

    Press and hold the Lock button (usually the padlock icon) on the keypad for a few seconds until the deadbolt extends.

  • Auto-Lock Feature:

    The lock can be configured to automatically lock after a set period (e.g., 10-30 seconds) once the door is closed. Refer to programming instructions for setting this feature.

  • Constant Open Mode:

    For periods when the door needs to remain unlocked, such as during a party or moving, you can activate the constant open mode. This prevents the lock from automatically engaging.

Programming Passcodes

The lock supports 3 admin passcodes and 97 user passcodes.

  1. Entering Programming Mode:

    Press the Program button (usually located on the interior assembly) or enter the current Admin Passcode followed by #.

  2. Adding a New User Passcode:

    In programming mode, follow the voice prompts or refer to the specific sequence in your quick start guide. Typically: Admin Passcode + #Option for Add UserNew User Passcode + #New User Passcode + # (to confirm).

  3. Deleting a User Passcode:

    In programming mode, follow the voice prompts or specific sequence for deleting a user. Typically: Admin Passcode + #Option for Delete UserUser Passcode to Delete + #.

  4. Changing Admin Passcode:

Maintenance

Battery Replacement and Emergency Power

The ARPHA D180 lock is powered by 4 AA batteries (not included). When the battery level is low, the lock will provide an audible and/or visual alert.

  • Low Battery Alert: When the battery is low, the lock will emit an alert signal. Replace batteries promptly.
  • Emergency Power: If the batteries are completely depleted, you can use a Type-C cable and a power bank to temporarily power the lock and gain entry. The Type-C port is located on the bottom of the exterior assembly.
  • Battery Type: Use only high-quality alkaline AA batteries. Do not mix old and new batteries or different battery types.

Cleaning

To clean the lock, use a soft, damp cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners, solvents, or chemical sprays, as these can damage the finish or electronic components.
