3. Setup

3.1 Unpacking and Initial Inspection

Carefully remove all components from the packaging. Verify that all parts are present and undamaged. The package should include the E12 device, a power cable, and a USB data cable (optional, but recommended for voice replacement).

3.3 Powering On/Off

Locate the slide switch on the side of the device (under the white cover) to power the unit on or off.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1 Motion Detection

The E12 utilizes an intelligent infrared sensor to detect motion. The inductive distance is approximately 0-4 meters, with an induction angle of 120 degrees. When motion is detected within this range, the device will activate and play the programmed audio.

4.2 Volume Control

The device features a 6-level volume control. Use the dedicated volume buttons on the bottom of the unit to adjust the output level. The current volume level will be displayed on the small LED screen.

4.3 Track Selection and Playback Modes

The E12 supports digital track selection and two playback modes: single track (A) and full track (B). Use the track selection buttons to navigate through loaded audio files. The selected mode and track number will be shown on the LED display.

  • Single Track Mode (A): Plays one selected audio file each time motion is detected.
  • Full Track Mode (B): Plays all loaded audio files in succession each time motion is detected.

4.4 Voice Replacement via USB

The E12 allows you to replace the default audio prompts with your own custom MP3 files. This process requires connecting the device to a computer using a compatible USB data cable.

  1. Connect to Computer: Use a USB-A to USB-C data cable (not just a charging cable) to connect the E12 to your computer. The device should appear as a removable drive, often labeled "NONAME".
  2. Manage Audio Files: The device has approximately 4MB of storage. You can delete existing demo sounds by moving them to the trash and emptying the trash on your computer.
  3. Upload Custom Audio: Drag and drop your desired MP3 audio files onto the device's drive. For multiple files, consider naming them with a numerical prefix (e.g., 001_sound.mp3, 002_alert.mp3) to control playback order.
  4. Eject Safely: After transferring files, safely eject the device from your computer before disconnecting the USB cable.

5. Maintenance

5.1 Cleaning

Wipe the device with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners, as these can damage the casing or electronic components.

5.2 Battery Information

The E12 is equipped with a built-in 2500mAh Lithium battery. Recharge the device using the provided power cable when the battery level is low. A red indicator light typically signifies charging, turning off when fully charged.

5.3 Waterproofing

The device has an IPX5 (or IP43 as per specifications) waterproof rating, meaning it is protected against low-pressure water jets from any direction. While suitable for outdoor use and light rain, it is not designed for submersion. Ensure the USB port cover is securely closed when not in use to maintain water resistance.

6. Troubleshooting

6.1 Device Does Not Power On

  • Ensure the power switch is in the 'ON' position.
  • Charge the device for at least 2-3 hours. The battery may be depleted.

6.2 No Sound or Low Volume

  • Check the volume level using the volume control buttons.
  • Verify that audio files are correctly loaded onto the device and are in MP3 format.
  • Ensure the motion sensor is not obstructed and is detecting movement.

6.3 Unable to Connect to Computer for Voice Replacement

  • Use a USB cable that supports data transfer, not just charging. The included power cable may not be a data cable.
  • Ensure the device is powered on when connecting to the computer.
  • Try a different USB port on your computer or another computer if available.
  • Confirm that the device appears as a removable drive (e.g., "NONAME") on your computer.

6.4 Motion Sensor Not Triggering

  • Check for obstructions in front of the sensor.
  • Ensure the device is positioned correctly to cover the desired detection area.
  • Verify the device is powered on and has sufficient battery charge.
