1. Introduction

This manual provides detailed instructions for setting up, operating, and maintaining your arVin D8 Mobile Gaming Controller. Please read this manual carefully before use to ensure optimal performance and a seamless gaming experience.

The arVin D8 is a versatile wireless gamepad designed for a wide range of devices, including iOS, Android, PC, and Nintendo Switch. It features Hall Effect joysticks and triggers, a 3-level turbo function, RGB lighting, and a stretchable design to accommodate various phone and tablet sizes.

2. Setup

2.1. Unboxing

Carefully open the product packaging and ensure all components are present. The package should contain the arVin D8 controller, a USB charging cable, and this user manual.

2.2. Charging the Controller

Before first use, fully charge the controller using the provided USB cable. Connect the USB-C end to the controller's charging port and the USB-A end to a compatible power source (e.g., computer USB port, wall adapter). The indicator light will show charging status and turn off when fully charged.

2.3. Device Compatibility

The controller is compatible with iOS 13.0+, Android 6.0+, and Windows 7.0+ systems. It supports a wide range of devices including iPhones, iPads, Samsung Galaxy phones and tablets, other Android phones and tablets (e.g., One Plus, TCL, Huawei, Oppo, Motorola, Lenovo Legion Y700, HUAWEI MatePad), PCs, MacBooks, and Laptops. It is also compatible with Nintendo Switch, Switch OLED, Switch Lite, PS3, and PS4. Please note: When used with a PS5, only PS4 games are supported.

2.4. Connecting to Android Devices

1. Press and hold the 'RB' button and the 'HOME' button simultaneously for 2 seconds until the indicator lights flash quickly.
2. On your Android device, go to Bluetooth settings.
3. Search for and select 'Xbox Wireless Controller' from the available devices.
4. Once connected, the 'HOME' key orange light will remain solid.

2.5. Connecting to iOS/iPad Devices

1. Press and hold the 'RB' button and the 'HOME' button simultaneously for 2 seconds until the indicator lights flash quickly.
2. On your iOS/iPad device, go to Bluetooth settings.
3. Search for and select 'Xbox Wireless Controller' from the available devices.
4. Once connected, the 'HOME' key cyan light will remain solid.

2.6. Connecting to Nintendo Switch

1. Press and hold the 'RT' button and the 'HOME' button simultaneously for 2 seconds until the indicator lights flash quickly.
2. On your Nintendo Switch, navigate to 'Controllers' then 'Change Grip/Order'.
3. The Switch will enter the matching interface.
4. Once connected, the 'HOME' key green light will remain solid.

3. Operating Instructions

3.1. Button Layout

Familiarize yourself with the controller's button layout for optimal gameplay.

• Left Side: LT/LB (Left Trigger/Bumper), L3 (Left Joystick Press), Direction Keys (D-pad), Power Button, Charging Port.
• Right Side: RT/RB (Right Trigger/Bumper), A/B/X/Y Keys, Turbo Button, R3 (Right Joystick Press), SELECT Button, START Button.

3.2. RGB Lighting

The Hall Effect joysticks feature customizable RGB lighting. Press the 'T' (Turbo) button and 'L3' (Left Joystick Press) key simultaneously to cycle through lighting modes: Breathing, Fixed Color, or Off. This allows you to personalize your gaming experience.

3.3. Turbo Function

The controller features a 3-level turbo function with adjustable speeds: 8 shots/second, 15 shots/second, and 25 shots/second. This function can be assigned to A, B, X, Y, LT, LB, RT, RB, or the D-pad, providing an advantage in fast-paced shooting and fighting games.

• To activate Turbo: Press the desired button (e.g., 'Y') then press the 'T' (Turbo) key once.
• To adjust Turbo speed: Press the desired button (e.g., 'Y') then press the 'T' key a second time for the next speed level. Repeat for the third level.
• To turn off Turbo: Press the desired button (e.g., 'Y') then press the 'T' key a third time.

3.4. Double Vibration & 6-Axis Gyroscope

For PS3, PS4, Switch, and PC, the controller includes built-in dual vibration motors for enhanced haptic feedback and a sensitive 6-axis gyroscope for high-precision directional control. These features improve game immersion and reaction time. Note: Vibration and gyroscope functions are not supported on iOS/Android devices.

3.5. Stretchable Design

The controller's stretchable design accommodates tablets and cell phones ranging from 5 to 10 inches in length and less than 13mm thick. This ensures a secure fit for a wide variety of devices.

3.6. Supported Games and Cloud Gaming

This controller supports most controller-compatible games on various platforms, including Apple Arcade and MFi games. It is also compatible with cloud gaming services such as Nvidia GeForce Now, Xbox Cloud, Amazon Luna, Google Stadia, Rainway, and Moonlight. Popular supported mobile games include Call of Duty Mobile (CODM), Genshin Impact, Minecraft, Diablo Immortal, Asphalt 9: Legends, and Asphalt 8: Airborne.

4. Maintenance

5.1. Controller Not Connecting

• Ensure the controller is fully charged.
• Verify that the correct pairing mode (RB+HOME for Android/iOS, RT+HOME for Switch) is activated, indicated by the rapid flashing of the lights.
• Check your device's Bluetooth settings to ensure Bluetooth is enabled and the controller is visible. Try forgetting the device and re-pairing.
• Restart both the controller and your gaming device.

5.2. Buttons or Joysticks Not Responding

• Ensure the controller is properly connected to your device.
• Some games may require specific controller settings or may not fully support external controllers. Check the game's settings for controller mapping options.
• If playing Call of Duty Mobile on Android, ensure you select 'XBOX' as the controller model in the game's interface if prompted.
• Test the controller with another compatible game or device to determine if the issue is with the controller or the specific game/device.

5.3. Lag or Disconnections During Gameplay

• Ensure there are no obstructions between the controller and your device that could interfere with the Bluetooth signal.
• Minimize other active Bluetooth devices or wireless interference in the vicinity.
• If streaming games, ensure your device and console are on the same stable LAN connection.
• Update your device's operating system and the game's application to the latest versions.
