Setup and Installation

The Ibergrif M91009 system is designed for quick and easy installation directly to your cold water line under the sink. No complex plumbing is required.

  1. Prepare the Installation Area: Clear the space under your sink. Ensure you have access to the cold water supply line.
  2. Turn Off Water Supply: Locate the main water shut-off valve for your home or the cold water shut-off valve under the sink and turn it off. Open the faucet to relieve pressure.
  3. Mount the Filter Unit:
    • Choose a suitable location under the sink for the filter unit, ensuring enough space for future filter replacement.
    • Use the provided drilling template to mark the screw positions on the cabinet wall.
    • Drill pilot holes and insert wall anchors if necessary.
    • Securely mount the filter unit to the cabinet using the provided screws.
  4. Connect to Cold Water Line:
    • Disconnect your existing cold water supply line from the faucet.
    • Connect the provided adapters and hoses to integrate the filter system into the cold water line. The "IN" port on the filter unit connects to the cold water supply, and the "OUT" port connects to your faucet's cold water inlet.
    • Ensure all connections are hand-tightened, then use a wrench for a final snug turn, but do not overtighten.
  5. Check for Leaks: Slowly turn on the main water supply. Check all connections for any signs of leaks. If leaks occur, tighten the connections further.
  6. Flush the System: Open the cold water faucet and let the water run for 5-10 minutes to flush out any carbon fines or air from the new filter. The water may appear cloudy initially; this is normal and will clear up.

Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures the continued performance and longevity of your Ibergrif M91009 water filter system.

Filter Replacement

The filter cartridge has a lifespan of up to 12 months or 12,000 liters, whichever comes first. This duration may vary depending on local water quality and usage. It is crucial to replace the filter regularly to maintain optimal filtration performance.

Note: The Ibergrif M91009 is designed as a single-unit system. When the filter reaches the end of its lifespan, the entire filter unit (including the housing and cartridge) should be replaced. There are no separate replacement cartridges available for this specific model.

  1. Turn Off Water Supply: Turn off the cold water supply to the filter system. Open the faucet to relieve pressure.
  2. Remove Old Filter Unit:
    • Place a towel or small bucket under the filter to catch any residual water.
    • Disconnect the water supply hoses from the "IN" and "OUT" ports of the old filter unit.
    • Unscrew the mounting screws and carefully remove the old filter unit from the cabinet.
  3. Install New Filter Unit: Follow the "Setup and Installation" steps for mounting and connecting the new Ibergrif M91009 filter unit.
  4. Flush New Filter: After installation, flush the new filter system by running cold water for 5-10 minutes to remove air and carbon fines.
