Setup and Installation

1. Mounting the Scope

  1. Ensure your crossbow is unloaded and safe.
  2. Attach the two 20mm Picatinny scope rings to your crossbow's standard 20mm rail mount. Position them appropriately for eye relief.
  3. Place the crossbow scope into the lower halves of the rings. Adjust the scope's position forward or backward to achieve optimal eye relief when shouldering the crossbow.
  4. Rotate the scope so the elevation and windage turrets are correctly oriented (elevation on top, windage on the right).
  5. Secure the upper halves of the scope rings, tightening the screws evenly to avoid stressing the scope tube. Do not overtighten.

2. Installing the Illumination Battery

  1. Locate the illumination control dial on the left side of the scope.
  2. Unscrew the battery cap.
  3. Insert the CR2032 lithium battery with the positive (+) side facing outwards.
  4. Replace the battery cap and tighten it securely.

3. Diopter Adjustment

The diopter adjustment ring, located on the eyepiece, allows you to fine-tune the reticle focus to your individual eyesight. Look through the scope at a plain, bright background (like a clear sky) and rotate the diopter ring until the reticle appears sharp and clear. This adjustment is personal and should be set before zeroing.

Operating Instructions

1. Magnification and FPS Adjustment

This scope features an adjustable gauge that links magnification to crossbow speed (FPS). To set the appropriate speed, rotate the FPS scale dial to match your crossbow's actual speed, ranging from 250 to 450 FPS. This adjustment simultaneously sets the magnification (1.5-5x) and calibrates the reticle's holdover points.

After setting the FPS, engage the locking ring to secure the dial in place. This prevents accidental changes and maintains accuracy during use.

2. Illuminated Reticle

The scope features an etched glass reticle with adjustable red and green illumination. Rotate the illumination control dial to select either red or green and adjust the brightness level. This feature enhances visibility of the reticle in low-light conditions or against dark backgrounds.

3. Windage and Elevation Adjustments

The scope is equipped with exposed turrets for windage (horizontal adjustment) and elevation (vertical adjustment). Each click of the turret adjusts the point of impact by 1/4 MOA (Minute of Angle). To adjust, rotate the turrets as needed. Ensure the FPS is correctly set before making windage and elevation adjustments for zeroing.

4. Zeroing and Ranging

The reticle is designed with precise aim points for a 50-yard zeroing distance and accurate holdovers ranging from 20 to 100 yards. After setting your crossbow's FPS, zero the scope at 50 yards. Then, use the calibrated holdover points for shots at various distances.

Maintenance

1. Cleaning the Lenses

The multi-layer green coated lenses are delicate. Use a soft, lint-free cloth or a lens brush to remove dust and debris. For smudges or fingerprints, use a specialized lens cleaning solution and a clean lens cloth. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive materials, as these can damage the coatings.

2. General Care

  • Regularly check all mounting screws to ensure they are secure.
  • Keep the flip caps on the lenses when not in use to protect them from dust and scratches.
  • Store the scope in a dry, cool place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
  • The scope is waterproof and fog-proof, but prolonged submersion is not recommended. Wipe off any moisture after use in wet conditions.

Troubleshooting

  • Unclear Image: Adjust the diopter ring on the eyepiece. Ensure lenses are clean.
  • Reticle Not Illuminating: Check if the CR2032 battery is correctly installed and has sufficient charge. Replace if necessary. Ensure the illumination dial is turned to an active setting (red or green).
  • Inconsistent Accuracy: Verify that the scope is securely mounted and that all screws are tightened. Confirm the FPS setting matches your crossbow's speed and that the locking ring is engaged. Re-zero the scope if necessary.
  • Debris Inside Scope: If you observe debris inside the scope, do not attempt to disassemble it. Contact customer service for assistance.
