User Instruction Manual
This manual provides essential instructions for the safe and efficient operation of your Philips TAM8905/37 Bluetooth & WiFi Stereo System. Please read this manual thoroughly before using the product and retain it for future reference.
The Philips TAM8905/37 is a versatile home audio system offering multiple playback options including CD, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi streaming (Spotify Connect), Internet Radio, FM Radio, USB, and Aux-in connectivity. It features 100W of audio output with crisp highs and rich bass, delivered through bookshelf-style loudspeakers.
Verify that all items are present upon unpacking:
Carefully remove all components from the packaging. Place the main unit and speakers on a stable, flat surface. Ensure adequate ventilation around the unit.

Connect the speaker wires from the main unit to the corresponding terminals on each speaker. Ensure correct polarity (positive to positive, negative to negative) for optimal sound quality.
Connect the supplied FM antenna to the FM antenna jack on the rear of the main unit. Extend the antenna for better reception.
Connect the AC power cord to the main unit and then to a wall outlet. The system will enter standby mode.
Upon first power-on, the system may guide you through initial setup steps, including language selection and network configuration. Follow the on-screen prompts.

Press the POWER button on the main unit or remote control to turn the system on or off (standby mode).
Press the SOURCE button on the main unit or remote control repeatedly to cycle through available input sources: CD, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, Internet Radio, FM Radio, USB, Aux-in.

Connect an external audio device (e.g., smartphone, MP3 player) to the AUX IN jack on the front of the main unit using a 3.5mm audio cable. Select the AUX IN source.
Use the VOLUME knob on the main unit or VOL +/- buttons on the remote to adjust the volume. Press the SOUND MODE button to cycle through preset equalizer settings (e.g., Rock, Pop, Jazz, Classic, Flat) to optimize audio for different music genres.

The included remote control provides full functionality for the system. Insert the supplied AAA batteries into the remote control, observing correct polarity. Point the remote control towards the main unit's IR sensor.

Avoid touching the speaker cones directly. Keep speakers away from direct sunlight and heat sources.
| Problem | Solution |
|---|---|
| No power | Ensure the power cord is securely connected to both the unit and the wall outlet. Check if the wall outlet is functioning. |
| No sound | Check speaker connections. Ensure volume is not set to minimum or muted. Verify correct audio source is selected. |
| CD not playing | Ensure the CD is inserted correctly (label side up). Clean the CD if it is dirty or scratched. Try a different CD. |
| Bluetooth pairing fails | Ensure the system is in Bluetooth pairing mode. Make sure your device's Bluetooth is enabled and within range. Disconnect other Bluetooth devices from your source device. |
| Cannot connect to Wi-Fi/Internet Radio | Check your Wi-Fi network connection and password. Ensure the system is within range of your Wi-Fi router. Restart your router and the stereo system. |
| Poor FM reception | Adjust the position and orientation of the FM antenna. Move the unit away from other electronic devices that may cause interference. |
