1. Introduction
The TFA Dostmann Klima @Home2 is a versatile thermo-hygrometer system designed to monitor temperature and humidity both indoors and outdoors. It includes a base station and three wireless transmitters, allowing you to track climate conditions in up to four different areas. Key features include dew point indication for mold prevention, a comfort zone indicator, and a radio-controlled clock with calendar display.

2. Setup
2.1 Battery Installation
- Open the battery compartment on the back of the base station and each of the three transmitters.
- Insert the required 1.5V AA alkaline batteries. The system requires a total of nine 1.5V AA batteries (typically 3 for the base station and 2 for each of the 3 transmitters). Ensure correct polarity (+/-).
- Close the battery compartments securely.

2.2 Placement and Synchronization
- Place the base station in your desired indoor location. It can be stood on a flat surface or mounted on a wall.
- Position the three transmitters in the areas you wish to monitor (e.g., outdoors, garage, bedroom, office). Each transmitter can be stood upright or wall-mounted.
- The base station will automatically attempt to synchronize with the transmitters and receive the radio-controlled time signal. This process may take a few minutes. Ensure transmitters are within range of the base station.
- You can label the transmitters (e.g., "Outdoor", "Office", "Kids Room") for easy identification on the base station display.

3. Operating Instructions
3.1 Display Overview
The large display on the base station shows the following information:
- Indoor Temperature and Humidity: Displayed prominently at the top left.
- Radio-Controlled Time and Date: Located at the top center, including the day of the week (in 6 selectable languages).
- Comfort Zone Indicator: A smiley icon indicating the indoor comfort level based on temperature and humidity.
- Dew Point: Indicated to help assess the risk of mold formation.
- Transmitter Data: Temperature and humidity from each of the three remote transmitters are displayed in separate sections at the bottom.

3.2 Setting the Radio Clock
The device automatically receives the radio time signal. If manual adjustment is needed or if you are outside the reception area:
- Press and hold the 'SET' button to enter time setting mode.
- Use the '+' and '-' buttons to adjust values (e.g., time zone offset +/-12 hours).
- Press 'SET' again to confirm and move to the next setting.
- The radio clock function can also be disabled if preferred.
3.3 Viewing Maximum and Minimum Values
The device stores maximum and minimum temperature and humidity values for both the base station and each transmitter. To view these:
- Press the 'MAX/MIN' button (if available, or cycle through display modes using 'SET' or 'CH' buttons as per specific model instructions).
- The display will show the recorded maximum values, along with the date and time of recording.
- Press 'MAX/MIN' again to view the minimum values.
- To reset the recorded values, press and hold the 'MAX/MIN' button while viewing them.
3.4 Channel Selection (CH)
Use the 'CH' button to cycle through the data from the different transmitters or to view all channels in a rotating display mode.
4. Maintenance
- Cleaning: Wipe the device and transmitters with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
- Battery Replacement: Replace batteries when the low battery indicator appears on the display. Always replace all batteries in a unit at the same time with new ones.
- Environmental Conditions: Avoid exposing the device and transmitters to extreme temperatures, direct sunlight, heavy rain, or high humidity for prolonged periods (especially the base station).
5. Troubleshooting
- No Display/Incorrect Readings:
- Check battery installation and replace if necessary.
- Ensure transmitters are within the effective range of the base station (typically up to 100m in open areas, less with obstacles).
- Restart both the base station and transmitters by removing and reinserting batteries.
- Inaccurate Temperature/Humidity:
- Allow the devices to stabilize for at least 30 minutes after setup.
- Ensure sensors are not exposed to direct heat sources, cold drafts, or high moisture areas that could skew readings.
- Compare readings with another reliable thermometer/hygrometer if available. Note that minor discrepancies are normal.
- Radio Clock Not Synchronizing:
- Place the base station near a window for better signal reception.
- Avoid placing the device near electronic devices that may cause interference (e.g., TVs, computers, microwaves).
- Perform a manual time setting if automatic synchronization fails repeatedly.
