3. Setup Instructions
The AERVY WiFi Extender can be set up using two primary methods: WPS (Wi-Fi Protected Setup) or via a web browser.
3.1 WPS Setup (Recommended for compatible routers)
- Power On: Plug the AERVY WiFi Extender into an electrical outlet near your main router. Wait for the power indicator light to become stable.
- Activate WPS on Router: Press the WPS button on your main Wi-Fi router. Refer to your router's manual for the exact location and procedure.
- Activate WPS on Extender: Within two minutes of pressing the WPS button on your router, press the WPS button on the AERVY WiFi Extender.
- Connect: The extender's signal indicator light should change to indicate a successful connection (e.g., solid blue or green). This may take a few moments.
- Relocate (Optional): Once connected, you can unplug the extender and move it to a more central location between your router and the area needing extended coverage. Ensure the signal indicator shows a good connection after relocation.

3.2 Web Browser Setup
- Power On: Plug the AERVY WiFi Extender into an electrical outlet.
- Connect to Extender's Network: On your computer or mobile device, connect to the Wi-Fi network broadcast by the extender (e.g., "AERVY_EXT" or similar, without a password).
- Access Setup Page: Open a web browser and enter the default IP address or domain name provided in the quick start guide (e.g., http://192.168.10.1 or http://reapeter.net).
- Log In: Enter the default username and password (usually "admin" for both, refer to your quick start guide).
- Select Mode: Choose "Repeater Mode" to extend your existing Wi-Fi network.
- Scan for Networks: The extender will scan for available Wi-Fi networks. Select your main router's network from the list.
- Enter Password: Enter the Wi-Fi password for your main router's network.
- Configure Extender SSID (Optional): You can choose to keep the same network name (SSID) as your main router or create a new one (e.g., "YourNetworkName_EXT").
- Apply Settings: Save the settings and wait for the extender to restart.
- Verify Connection: Once restarted, the extender's signal indicator should show a successful connection. You can now connect your devices to the extended network.
4. Operating Instructions
4.1 Repeater Mode
In Repeater Mode, the extender wirelessly connects to your existing router and rebroadcasts the signal, expanding your Wi-Fi coverage. Devices connect to the extender's network (either the same SSID or a new one you created during setup).

4.2 Access Point (AP) Mode
In AP Mode, the extender connects to your router via an Ethernet cable and creates a new wireless network. This is useful for adding Wi-Fi capability to a wired network or creating a separate Wi-Fi network in a specific area.
- Connect Ethernet: Plug one end of the Ethernet cable into the extender's Ethernet port and the other end into a LAN port on your main router.
- Configure via Web Browser: Follow steps 2-4 from the "Web Browser Setup" section (3.2).
- Select AP Mode: During setup, choose "AP Mode" instead of "Repeater Mode."
- Configure SSID and Password: Set a new Wi-Fi network name (SSID) and password for the access point.
- Apply Settings: Save the settings and wait for the extender to restart.

4.3 Optimal Placement
For best performance, place the extender halfway between your router and the area where you need improved Wi-Fi coverage. Avoid placing it near large metal objects, concrete walls, or other electronic devices that may cause interference.
5. Maintenance
- Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the device. Do not use liquid cleaners or aerosols.
- Firmware Updates: Periodically check the manufacturer's website for firmware updates to ensure optimal performance and security.
- Resetting: If the device is not functioning correctly, you may perform a factory reset by pressing and holding the reset button (usually a small pinhole) for several seconds until the lights flash. Note that this will erase all custom settings.
