2. Safety Instructions

To ensure safe operation and prolong the lifespan of your power supply, please adhere to the following safety guidelines:

  • Always connect the power supply to a grounded outlet.
  • Do not operate the device in wet or damp conditions.
  • Ensure proper ventilation to prevent overheating. The unit features a temperature-regulated cooling fan.
  • Avoid exceeding the maximum voltage and current ratings.
  • Disconnect power before performing any maintenance or adjustments.
  • Keep out of reach of children.
  • The provided test leads are for general use. For long-term high current applications, use test leads with sufficient current capacity.

3.2 Intelligent Current Protection Design

3.3 Enhanced Reliability and Precision

This power supply offers multiple safety measures including reverse connection, short-circuit, over-current, overheating, over-voltage, and leakage protection. Its 3rd generation design abandons mechanical analog control for more accurate digital control technology, ensuring higher precision in output.

4. Setup

Before initial use, ensure the AC input voltage switch on the back of the unit is set correctly for your region (110V or 220V). Connect the provided power cord to the unit and a suitable power outlet. The unit also includes a spare fuse for convenience.

5. Operating Instructions

The SPS-3010X features an intuitive single encoder knob for precise adjustments and a clear 4-digit LED display for real-time monitoring.

5.1 Adjusting Voltage and Current

  1. Turn on the power supply using the main power switch on the back.
  2. Press the 'V' button to enter Voltage Adjustment Mode. Rotate the central encoder knob to adjust the voltage value. Press the knob to select the digit you wish to change.
  3. Press the 'A' button to enter Current Adjustment Mode. Rotate the central encoder knob to adjust the current value. Press the knob to select the digit you wish to change.
  4. The 4-digit LED display will show measured values of V, A, and W in real-time.

5.2 Output ON/OFF Control

Press the 'OUT' button to enable the output. The 'ON' indicator light will illuminate. Press the 'OUT' button again to disable the output; the 'ON' indicator will turn off. This allows for safe adjustment of settings without disconnecting the load.

5.3 Standby Mode

Press the 'Standby' button to enter Low-power Standby mode. The display will turn off, with only the 'MEN' indicator remaining on. This is useful for short breaks. Press the 'Standby' button again to resume operation.

6. USB Charging Ports

The Jesverty SPS-3010X is equipped with both USB-A and Type-C charging ports, each supporting 20W fast charging. These ports are ideal for conveniently charging your mobile devices or powering small electronic projects like Arduino UNO or Raspberry Pi directly from the power supply.

7. Preset Memory Function

The Preset Memory function allows you to store and quickly recall up to 5 groups of frequently used voltage and current settings. This feature is particularly useful for repetitive tasks or projects requiring specific power configurations.

7.1 Storing and Recalling Settings

  1. Adjust the desired voltage and current using the encoder knob.
  2. Long press the 'Standby' button to enter the Preset Memory function.
  3. Use the encoder knob to select a memory slot (EE01-EE05).
  4. To save the current settings to the selected memory slot, long press the 'MEN' button.
  5. To recall settings from a memory slot, select the desired slot and then press the 'OUT' button. The stored values will be output.

8. Over-Current Protection (OCP)

The OCP function protects your connected devices by automatically cutting off the output if the current exceeds a user-defined limit. This feature is settable.

8.1 Configuring OCP

  1. Long press the 'A' button to enter the OCP configuration mode.
  2. Rotate the knob to set the value from '0' to '1' to enable the OCP function. (0 = disabled, 1 = enabled).
  3. Press the 'A' button again and use the knob to set the OCP trip point (the maximum current allowed).
  4. Long press the 'A' button again to return to the main interface.

When the actual output current exceeds the set OCP trip point, the output will be cut off immediately, and the 'OCP' indicator will blink, showing that the OCP function has been activated.

8.2 Disabling OCP

  1. Long press the 'A' button to go back to the OCP configuration mode.
  2. Rotate the knob to set the value from '1' to '0' to disable the OCP function.
  3. Long press the 'A' button again to return to the main interface. The 'OCP' indicator will go off.

9. OPN (Output Power ON) Function

The OPN function allows the unit to automatically output voltage and current as soon as the power switch is turned on, without needing to press the 'OUT' button. Use this function with caution.

9.1 Enabling OPN

  1. Long press the 'OUT' button to enter the OPN configuration mode.
  2. Press the 'OUT' key to set the value from '0' to '1' (0 = disabled, 1 = enabled). The 'OPN' indicator light will illuminate, indicating the function is enabled.
  3. Long press the 'OUT' button again to return to the main interface.

When OPN is enabled, if you switch off the power supply and switch it on again, the output will be automatically turned on without pressing the 'OUT' button.

9.2 Disabling OPN

  1. First, press the 'OUT' button to turn off the output.
  2. Then, long press the 'OUT' button to go back to the OPN configuration mode.
  3. Rotate the knob to set the value from '1' to '0' to disable the OPN function.
  4. Long press the 'OUT' button again to return to the main interface.

10. Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and longevity of your Jesverty SPS-3010X power supply.

  • Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the exterior of the unit. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
  • Ventilation: Ensure the cooling fan and ventilation openings are free from dust and obstructions. The temperature-regulated cooling fan operates as needed to maintain optimal internal temperature.
  • Storage: Store the unit in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures when not in use for extended periods.
  • Fuse Replacement: If the unit does not power on, check the fuse located near the power input. Replace it with a fuse of the same type and rating if necessary.

11. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your power supply, refer to the following common troubleshooting steps:
