Setup Instructions

1. Insert SIM Card: Locate the Nano SIM card slot on the router. Use the provided SIM card needle to open the tray. Insert your Nano SIM card into the tray, ensuring correct orientation. Close the tray securely.

2. Connect Power: Connect the power adapter to the router's power input port and then plug it into a power outlet. The router will power on automatically.
3. Antenna Installation: Ensure all four 5 dBi foldable antennas are securely attached and positioned for optimal signal reception. You can adjust their direction to improve signal strength.
4. Initial Configuration (Optional): For initial setup or advanced settings, connect a computer to one of the router's LAN ports using the Ethernet cable, or connect wirelessly to the default Wi-Fi network (SSID and password usually found on a label on the router). Open a web browser and enter the router's default IP address (refer to the Quick Start Guide for details). Follow the on-screen instructions to configure your network settings.

Operating Instructions

The WAVLINK 4G LTE Router supports various operating modes to suit your connectivity needs.

• 4G Mode: With a Nano SIM card inserted, the router will automatically establish a 4G LTE connection, providing internet access to all connected devices via Wi-Fi or Ethernet. This mode offers download speeds up to 150 Mbps (CAT4).
• Router Mode: Connect the router's WAN port to an existing broadband modem (e.g., DSL/Cable modem) to use it as a standard Wi-Fi router. This mode provides combined Wi-Fi speeds up to 300 Mbps at 2.4 GHz.
• 4G/Router Mix Mode: This mode allows the router to use 4G LTE as a primary or backup internet source, switching to 4G if the wired WAN connection fails.

You can connect up to 15 devices simultaneously to the router's Wi-Fi network. The router features WPA2-PSK encryption and an integrated firewall to protect your network from unauthorized access and online threats.

Maintenance

• Cleaning: Gently wipe the router with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use liquid cleaners or aerosols.
• Ventilation: Ensure the router is placed in a well-ventilated area to prevent overheating. Do not block ventilation openings.
• Firmware Updates: Periodically check the WAVLINK official website for firmware updates. Keeping your router's firmware up-to-date ensures optimal performance and security.
• Restarting: If you experience network issues, try restarting the router by unplugging the power adapter, waiting 10 seconds, and then plugging it back in.

Troubleshooting

No Internet Connection:

• Ensure the SIM card is correctly inserted and active with a data plan.
• Check the signal strength indicators on the router or via the web management page.
• If using Router Mode, verify the WAN cable connection and the status of your broadband modem.
• Restart the router.

Weak Wi-Fi Signal:

• Adjust the router's antennas for better reception.
• Relocate the router to a central location, away from obstructions and interference sources (e.g., microwaves, cordless phones).
• Reduce the distance between your devices and the router.

Cannot Access Web Management Page:

• Ensure your device is connected to the router's network (wired or wireless).
• Verify that you are entering the correct IP address in your web browser.
• Clear your browser's cache or try a different browser.
