The Tonfarb 96GB Digital Voice Recorder (Model A12) is a versatile audio recording device designed for high-quality sound capture and playback. Setup
1. Initial Charge
Before first use, fully charge the device. Connect the included USB cable to the recorder's USB-C port and the other end to a compatible USB power adapter or computer. The screen will indicate charging status.
2. Memory Card Installation
The device comes with a 64GB TF card pre-installed, adding to the built-in 32GB memory for a total of 96GB storage. If you need to access or replace the TF card, locate the card slot on the side of the device and gently insert/remove the card.

Operating Instructions
1. Power On/Off
Locate the ON/OFF switch on the side of the device. Slide it to the 'ON' position to power on. To power off, slide it to the 'OFF' position.
2. One-Click Recording and Saving
Even when the device is powered off, simply push up the side recording button to immediately enter recording mode. To save the recording, push down the recording button. This feature allows for quick capture of important audio.

3. Voice Activated Recording (VAR)
The recorder supports voice-activated recording, automatically starting and stopping recording when the sound level reaches a set decibel threshold. This conserves memory and battery life. Refer to the user manual for detailed instructions on setting VAR sensitivity levels.

4. PCM Recording and Noise Reduction
The device supports high-quality WAV format recording up to 1536kbps PCM. It also features automatic noise reduction to minimize background noise, ensuring clear audio capture. For optimal quality, use headphones or professional equipment for playback.

5. Music Playback (MP3 Player Function)
The recorder can also function as an MP3 player. Transfer MP3, WMA, WAV, APE, FLAC, AAC-LC, M4A, or OGG audio files to the device via the USB cable. Navigate to the 'Music' option in the menu to play your stored audio.

6. Other Functions
- Segmented Recording: Divide long recordings into smaller, manageable segments.
- Scheduled Recording: Set specific times for the recorder to start and stop recording automatically.
- AB Loop Playback: Repeat a specific section of an audio file for detailed review.
- Password Protection: Secure your recordings with a password to prevent unauthorized access.
- Line-in Recording: Connect external audio sources (like phones or computers) using the included line-in cable for direct recording.

Maintenance
- Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the device. Avoid liquid cleaners or abrasive materials.
- Battery Care: To prolong battery life, avoid fully discharging the device frequently. Charge it regularly, especially if storing for extended periods.
- Storage: Store the recorder in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
- Data Management: Regularly transfer important recordings to a computer or other storage device to prevent data loss and free up space on the recorder.
Troubleshooting
- Device Not Turning On: Ensure the battery is charged. Connect the USB cable to a power source and attempt to power on. If the issue persists, try a different charging cable or adapter.
- Poor Audio Quality: Check the recording settings (WAV 1536kbps is highest quality). Ensure the microphone is not obstructed. For interviews, use the included lapel microphone for clearer sound. Reduce background noise in the recording environment.
- Files Not Transferring to Computer: Ensure the device is powered OFF before connecting to the computer. Try a different USB port or cable. Verify that the computer recognizes the device as a removable storage drive.
- Playback Issues: Ensure the audio file format is supported (MP3, WMA, WAV, APE, FLAC, AAC-LC, M4A, OGG). Check the volume level.
