3. Setup
3.1 Unpacking and Inspection
Carefully remove all components from the packaging. Inspect for any shipping damage. Ensure all listed accessories are present: 1 pre-mounted saw blade, 1 dust collection bag, 1 blade change tool, 1 anti-tilt safety adjustment tool, 2 clamping devices.
3.2 Workbench Mounting (Optional)
For increased stability and safety, the saw can be permanently mounted to a workbench. Use appropriate fastening materials (not included) through the designated mounting holes in the saw's base. Ensure the workbench is stable and level.
3.3 Attaching the Dust Collection Bag
Locate the dust extraction port on the saw. Attach the provided dust collection bag securely to this port. For external dust extraction, connect a suitable vacuum system to this port.
3.4 Saw Blade Installation/Change
The saw comes with a pre-mounted blade. If changing the blade:
- Disconnect the saw from the power supply.
- Use the provided blade change tool to loosen the blade retaining screw.
- Carefully remove the old blade, noting its rotation direction.
- Install the new blade, ensuring the teeth are oriented correctly for cutting (usually indicated by an arrow on the blade and saw).
- Tighten the retaining screw securely.
Note: Always use blades with a diameter of Ø 210 mm and suitable for the material being cut.
4. Operating Instructions
4.1 Power Connection
Connect the saw's power cable to a standard 230V AC power outlet. Ensure the power supply is stable and matches the saw's requirements.
4.2 Adjusting Miter Angle
To adjust the miter angle, loosen the locking knob on the saw's base. Rotate the turntable to the desired angle (from -45° to +45°), using the angle scale for precision. Tighten the locking knob firmly to secure the angle.
4.3 Adjusting Bevel Angle (Saw Head Inclination)
To adjust the bevel angle, loosen the inclination locking lever. Tilt the saw head to the desired angle (from 0° to 45°). Use the angle scale for accurate setting. Securely tighten the locking lever.
4.4 Using the Laser Guide
The integrated laser projects a line onto the workpiece, indicating the precise cutting path. Activate the laser using its dedicated switch. Align the laser line with your marked cut line on the material for accurate cuts.
4.5 Securing the Workpiece
Always use the two provided clamping devices to firmly secure the workpiece against the fence and the saw base. Utilize the lateral supports for longer workpieces to prevent tipping and ensure stability during cutting.
4.6 Making a Cut
- Ensure the workpiece is properly secured and the desired angles are set.
- Lower the saw head slightly to check the laser line alignment with your mark.
- Start the saw motor and allow it to reach full speed (4800 rpm) before engaging the material.
- Slowly and steadily lower the saw blade through the workpiece. Do not force the cut.
- Once the cut is complete, allow the blade to stop rotating before raising the saw head.
- Remove the cut material and clear any debris.
Caution: Never attempt to cut freehand. Always use the clamping devices.
5. Maintenance
5.1 Cleaning
Regularly clean the saw to ensure optimal performance and longevity. Disconnect from power before cleaning.
- Empty the dust collection bag frequently.
- Use a brush or compressed air to remove sawdust and debris from the motor vents, blade guard, and guide rails.
- Wipe down external surfaces with a damp cloth. Do not use harsh chemicals.
5.2 Blade Care and Replacement
A sharp blade is crucial for safe and efficient cutting. Replace dull or damaged blades promptly. Refer to section 3.4 for blade replacement instructions.
5.3 Guide Rail Lubrication
Periodically apply a small amount of silicone-free lubricant to the double-bearing guide rails to ensure smooth sliding action.
