Setup Guide

1. Unpack the Unit: Carefully remove the air purifier from its packaging. Ensure all components are present: the main unit, Debris Defense Washable Filter, NeverChange HEPA filter, and Odor Neutralizer Cartridge.
2. Choose a Location: Place the air purifier on a firm, level surface. Ensure there is at least 6 inches (15 cm) of clear space around all sides for optimal airflow. Avoid placing it directly against walls or furniture.
3. Install Filters:
   • Open the filter compartment according to the instructions provided in the quick start guide (refer to Figure 6 for visual guidance on accessing the DebrisDefense filter).
   • Ensure the NeverChange HEPA filter and Debris Defense Washable Filter are correctly seated.
   • Insert the Odor Neutralizer Cartridge into its designated slot.
   • Close the filter compartment securely.
4. Connect to Power: Plug the power cord into a standard electrical outlet.
5. Initial Power On: Press the power button on the control panel to turn on the unit. The Clean Sense IQ display will illuminate and begin tracking air quality.

Control Panel Overview

The LED display provides real-time air quality information and allows you to adjust settings.

• Power Button: Turns the unit on or off.
• Fan Speed Control: Adjusts the fan speed. The unit can operate at various speeds, from ultra-quiet for sleep to maximum for rapid purification.
• Mode Selection (AUTO): Activates Clean Sense IQ, which automatically adjusts fan speed based on detected air quality (PM1, PM2.5, PM10).
• Dimmable Lights: Allows adjustment of display brightness for minimal disturbance, especially during nighttime use.
• Odor Neutralizer Dial: Adjust the intensity of the fresh scent released by the Odor Neutralizer Technology (Min, Med, Max settings).

Clean Sense IQ

The Clean Sense IQ feature continuously monitors your home's air quality and automatically adjusts the purification power to maintain optimal air cleanliness. The LED screen displays the current air quality percentage and particle sizes (PM1, PM2.5, PM10) in real-time.

Odor Neutralizer Technology

To activate or adjust the Odor Neutralizer Technology, rotate the dial on the top of the unit to your desired intensity (Min, Med, Max). This technology works in conjunction with the filtration system to actively combat and neutralize odors while releasing a pleasant scent.

NeverChange HEPA Filter

The NeverChange HEPA filter is designed for up to 5 years of use and does not require regular replacement under normal operating conditions. The Debris Defense filter protects it from large particle buildup. If the unit's performance significantly degrades or the display indicates a filter issue after prolonged use, consult the troubleshooting section or contact customer support.

Odor Neutralizer Cartridge Replacement

The Odor Neutralizer Cartridge will need to be replaced periodically when the scent diminishes. Replacement cartridges are available from Shark authorized retailers.

1. Turn off and unplug the air purifier.
2. Access the Odor Neutralizer Cartridge compartment.
3. Remove the old cartridge and dispose of it properly.
