4K Ultra HD Resolution & Wide Viewing Angle

Faster 5GHz WiFi & Built-in GPS Tracking

24-Hour Parking Monitoring & Loop Recording

The D2 Duo offers two parking modes: Collision Detection (activates recording upon impact, saving a 30-second emergency video) and Time-lapse (continuous recording at one frame per second for minimal power consumption). A hardwire kit (B0BG5DM5CL) is required for parking mode functionality. Seamless loop recording ensures continuous recording by overwriting the oldest files when the memory card is full.

Advanced Night Vision

Equipped with an advanced STARVIS sensor, f/1.5 large aperture lens, and WDR/HDR technology, the dash cam provides enhanced clarity and quality in low-light conditions, making it easier to read license plates and road signs at night.

G-Sensor & Memory Card Support

The built-in G-sensor automatically locks footage upon impact, preventing accidental deletion. The dash cam supports microSD cards up to 512GB. A 64GB SD card is included. For optimal performance, it is recommended to format the SD card every two weeks.

Supercapacitor

The D2 Duo utilizes a supercapacitor instead of a traditional lithium battery, offering enhanced safety, endurance, and a longer lifespan. This design allows the dash cam to operate reliably in extreme temperatures, from scorching summers to frigid winters.

Setup and Installation

Follow these steps for proper installation of your FocuWay D2 Duo Dash Cam:

  1. Choose Mounting Location: Select a location on your windshield, typically behind the rearview mirror, that does not obstruct your view. The package includes secure adhesive pads for flexible installation.
  2. Clean Surface: Ensure the chosen area on the windshield is clean and dry before applying the electrostatic sticker and adhesive pad.
  3. Attach Front Camera: Apply the electrostatic sticker to the windshield, then attach one of the adhesive pads to the electrostatic sticker. Mount the front camera onto the adhesive pad. The bracket angle is adjustable and detachable.
  4. Install Rear Camera: Install the rear camera inside the vehicle, typically on the rear window. Connect the rear camera cable to the main unit.
  5. Connect Power: Route the 11.15ft Mini USB car charger cable from the dash cam to your vehicle's 12V power outlet (cigarette lighter socket). Use the included crowbar tool and cable clips to neatly tuck away the cables along the windshield trim and dashboard.
  6. Insert SD Card: Insert the included 64GB microSD card into the designated slot on the dash cam.

Maintenance

To ensure optimal performance and longevity of your dash cam:

Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your FocuWay D2 Duo Dash Cam, refer to the following common problems and solutions:

ProblemPossible Cause / Solution
Camera does not power on.
  • Ensure the car charger is securely plugged into both the dash cam and the vehicle's 12V power outlet.
  • Check if the vehicle's 12V power outlet is functioning (e.g., by plugging in another device).
Recording stops or footage is corrupted.
  • Format the microSD card regularly (every two weeks is recommended).
  • Ensure you are using a high-speed microSD card (Class 10 or higher, U3 recommended).
  • The SD card may be full; loop recording should prevent this, but manual formatting can resolve issues.
Wi-Fi connection issues with the app.
  • Ensure Wi-Fi is enabled on the dash cam.
  • Verify you are connecting to the correct Wi-Fi network displayed on the dash cam.
  • Temporarily disable other Wi-Fi connections on your phone (e.g., car stereo Wi-Fi) that might interfere.
  • Restart both the dash cam and your smartphone.
Camera reboots frequently or freezes in hot weather.
  • While the supercapacitor improves heat resistance, extreme temperatures can still cause issues.
  • Ensure the camera is not in direct sunlight for prolonged periods when parked.
  • Aim a car AC vent towards the camera if possible during hot conditions.
GPS not tracking location/speed.
  • Ensure the dash cam has a clear view of the sky (not obstructed by metallic tints or other devices).
  • Allow a few minutes for the GPS to acquire a signal after powering on.
