4. Maintenance

4.1 Cleaning the Device

Regular cleaning helps maintain optimal performance, especially for the fingerprint sensor.

  • Use a soft, dry cloth to wipe the device's exterior.
  • For the fingerprint sensor, use a lint-free cloth lightly dampened with a non-abrasive cleaner (e.g., isopropyl alcohol). Avoid excessive moisture.
  • Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive materials, as they can damage the device.

4.2 Data Backup

Although the device retains data during power outages, regular data backup to an external storage (like a computer) via USB is recommended to prevent any unforeseen data loss.

5. Troubleshooting

5.1 Fingerprint Not Recognized

  • Ensure your finger is clean and dry.
  • Place your finger firmly and completely on the sensor.
  • Try different angles or fingers if multiple were registered.
  • If the issue persists, re-register the fingerprint.

5.2 Data Export Issues

  • Ensure the USB flash drive is properly inserted and formatted (FAT32 is usually recommended).
  • Check if the USB drive has sufficient free space.
  • Verify that you have administrator privileges to perform the export.
  • Try using a different USB flash drive.
