Setup
1. Connectivity Modes
The KEMOVE K87 supports three connection modes: Bluetooth 5.0, 2.4G Wireless, and Wired (USB-C).
- 2.4G Wireless Mode: Offers an ultra-fast and stable connection with a 1000Hz polling rate. The 2.4G receiver is conveniently stored within the keyboard's chassis.
- Bluetooth 5.0 Mode: Provides a reliable wireless connection with a 125Hz polling rate, ideal for general use and multi-device pairing.
- Wired Mode (USB-C): Connect directly via the included USB-C to USB-A cable for a stable 1000Hz polling rate connection and simultaneous charging.

2. Initial Setup
- Unpack: Carefully remove the keyboard and all accessories from the packaging.
- Charge: For first-time use, it is recommended to fully charge the keyboard using the provided USB-C cable. Connect the USB-C end to the keyboard and the USB-A end to a power source (e.g., computer USB port, wall adapter).
- Select Mode: Use the switch on the keyboard to select your desired connection mode (Bluetooth, 2.4G, or Wired).
- Connect:
- Wired: Plug the USB-C cable into the keyboard and your computer.
- 2.4G Wireless: Locate the 2.4G receiver (usually in a dedicated slot on the keyboard), plug it into a USB port on your computer. The keyboard should connect automatically.

2. Key Customization and Programming
The keyboard is programmable, allowing you to remap keys, create macros, and assign custom functions using the KEMOVE driver software.
- Macro Recording: Record complex sequences of keystrokes and assign them to a single key for quick execution.
- Key Remapping: Change the function of any key to suit your workflow or gaming style.

3. Battery Management

Maintenance
1. Keycap Care
The KEMOVE K87 features premium double-shot PBT keycaps, known for their durability and resistance to wear.
- Cleaning: Use a soft, damp cloth to wipe down keycaps. For deeper cleaning, remove keycaps using the provided puller and wash with mild soap and water. Ensure they are completely dry before reattaching.
- Removal/Installation: Use the 2-in-1 switch & keycap puller to carefully remove and install keycaps to avoid damage.

2. Switch Care (Hot-Swappable)
The PCB supports hot-swappable 3-pin or 5-pin switches, allowing for easy customization and maintenance of your typing experience.
- Switch Removal: Use the switch puller tool to gently remove switches. Ensure the switch is pulled straight up to avoid bending pins.
- Switch Installation: Align the pins of the new switch with the holes on the PCB and press down gently until it clicks into place. Do not force the switch if it doesn't go in easily; check pin alignment.
- Lubrication: Switches come pre-lubricated. If desired, advanced users can re-lubricate switches for a smoother feel, but this requires careful disassembly.
Troubleshooting
