2. Important Safety Instructions
WARNING: To reduce the risk of injury, users must read and understand this instruction manual before operating the drill. Always follow basic safety precautions to reduce the risk of fire, electric shock, and personal injury.
- Always wear appropriate personal protective equipment, such as safety glasses, when operating the drill.
- Ensure the work area is well-lit and clear of obstructions.
- Keep children and bystanders away while operating a power tool. Distractions can cause you to lose control.
- Do not operate power tools in explosive atmospheres, such as in the presence of flammable liquids, gases, or dust.
- Always disconnect the battery pack from the drill before making any adjustments, changing accessories, or storing the tool.
- Always unplug the charger from the outlet before removing the battery pack.
- Use the correct tool for your application. Do not force the tool.
- Maintain tools with care. Keep cutting tools sharp and clean.
- Store idle tools out of reach of children and other untrained persons.
- Do not use the drill if the switch does not turn it on and off. Any power tool that cannot be controlled with the switch is dangerous and must be repaired.
3. Setup
3.1 Battery Charging
The 20V Lithium-ion battery comes partially charged. It is recommended to fully charge the battery before first use to ensure optimal performance and battery life.
- Remove the battery from the drill by pressing the release tabs on the sides of the battery and sliding it out.
- Connect the charger cable to the charging port on the battery pack.
- Plug the charger into a standard electrical outlet.
- The indicator light on the charger will turn red while charging and green when the battery is fully charged.
- Once fully charged, unplug the charger from the outlet and then disconnect the battery.
3.2 Attaching/Detaching Battery
- To attach: Align the battery with the base of the drill and slide it firmly until it clicks into place.
- To detach: Press the battery release tabs on both sides of the battery and slide the battery out from the drill.
3.3 Installing/Changing Drill Bits
The drill features a 3/8-inch (10mm) keyless chuck for quick and easy bit changes.
- Rotate the chuck counter-clockwise until the jaws are wide enough to insert the desired drill bit or screwdriver bit.
- Insert the bit into the chuck as far as it will go.
- Rotate the chuck clockwise to tighten the jaws securely around the bit. Ensure the bit is centered and firmly gripped.
- To remove, rotate the chuck counter-clockwise until the bit can be pulled out.

4. Operating Instructions
4.1 Power On/Off and Variable Speed
The drill is activated by pressing the trigger switch. The speed of the drill is variable, meaning the harder you press the trigger, the faster the drill will rotate.
- To start: Press the trigger switch.
- To increase speed: Increase pressure on the trigger switch.
- To stop: Release the trigger switch.
4.2 Forward/Reverse Switch
The forward/reverse switch is located above the trigger. It controls the direction of rotation of the chuck.
- For drilling or driving screws: Push the switch to the left (forward position).
- For removing screws or backing out a drill bit: Push the switch to the right (reverse position).
- To lock the trigger: Place the switch in the center position. This prevents accidental starting.

4.3 Torque Settings (21+1 Position Clutch)
The 21+1 position clutch allows you to adjust the torque (rotational force) of the drill. This is crucial for preventing damage to screws or the workpiece, especially when working with softer materials or driving screws to a specific depth.
- Settings 1-21: For driving screws. Lower numbers provide less torque, suitable for smaller screws or softer materials. Higher numbers provide more torque for larger screws or harder materials.
- Drill Symbol Setting: For drilling applications. This setting provides maximum torque without the clutch engaging, ensuring continuous power for drilling holes.

Figure 5: Understanding the 21+1 torque settings.
4.4 LED Work Light
The integrated LED light automatically illuminates the work area when the trigger is pressed, providing improved visibility in dimly lit spaces.
4.5 Drilling Applications
The FADAKWALT Cordless Drill is versatile and suitable for various drilling and driving tasks:
- Drilling Wood: Use appropriate wood drill bits. Start with a lower speed and increase as needed.
- Drilling Metal: Use HSS (High-Speed Steel) twist drill bits. Apply steady pressure and use a cutting fluid if necessary to prevent overheating.
- Drilling Plastics/Ceramics: Use appropriate bits and lower speeds to prevent cracking or melting.
- Driving Screws: Select the correct screwdriver bit and adjust the torque setting according to the screw size and material.

5. Maintenance
5.1 Cleaning
Regular cleaning helps maintain the performance and longevity of your drill.
- Always disconnect the battery before cleaning.
- Use a clean, damp cloth to wipe down the exterior of the drill. Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.
- Clear any dust or debris from the ventilation openings to prevent overheating.
- Clean the chuck jaws regularly to ensure proper gripping of bits.
5.2 Storage
Proper storage protects your drill from damage and extends its lifespan.
- Store the drill and accessories in a dry, cool place, away from direct sunlight and moisture.
- Keep the drill out of reach of children.
- If storing for extended periods, ensure the battery is partially charged (around 50%) to prevent deep discharge.
5.3 Battery Care
To maximize the life of your Lithium-ion battery:
- Avoid fully discharging the battery before recharging.
- Do not store the battery in extreme temperatures (hot or cold).
- Charge the battery in a well-ventilated area.
6. Troubleshooting
