5. Operating Instructions

The Frigidaire EFMIS308 uses thermoelectric cooling to keep contents chilled. It does not use refrigerants or compressors.

  1. Power On: Once connected to a power source, the unit will begin to cool. There is no separate on/off switch; operation is controlled by plugging/unplugging the unit.
  2. Loading Contents: Open the top lid and place your beverages or items inside. The unit has a capacity of 4 liters, typically holding up to six 12-oz (355ml) cans. For best results, pre-chill items before placing them in the cooler.
  3. Cooling Performance: The unit can cool items to approximately 27-36°F (15-20°C) below ambient temperature. Cooling effectiveness will vary based on the surrounding temperature. It is designed to maintain the temperature of already chilled items for extended periods, up to 8 hours.
  4. Top-Opening Design: The top-opening lid helps to minimize cold air loss when accessing contents, contributing to better temperature retention.

  • Cleaning the Exterior: Wipe the exterior surface with a soft, damp cloth. For stubborn stains, use a mild detergent. Dry completely.
