- Attach the Backrest: Align the metal brackets on the backrest with the corresponding slots on the seat base. Slide the backrest down until it locks securely into place. You may hear a click.
- Connect Reclining Mechanism: Locate the reclining mechanism rods on both sides of the armchair. Connect them to the corresponding levers on the backrest and footrest. Ensure all connections are secure.

4. Operating Instructions
The HOMCOM Recliner Armchair features a manual reclining mechanism and an adjustable footrest for optimal comfort.
- To Recline: Locate the lever on the side of the armchair. Pull the lever to release the backrest and footrest mechanism. Lean back gently to recline the backrest to your desired angle, up to 155 degrees.
- To Extend Footrest: While reclining, the footrest will automatically extend. You can adjust the footrest position by applying slight pressure with your legs.
- To Return to Upright Position: Push your body forward and apply pressure to the footrest with your legs to retract it. The backrest will return to its upright position. Ensure the footrest is fully retracted before standing up.

5. Maintenance
Proper care will extend the life of your armchair.
- General Cleaning: For routine cleaning, simply wipe the fabric with a clean, damp cloth. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.
- Spot Cleaning: For spills, blot immediately with a clean, dry cloth. Do not rub, as this can spread the stain. Use a mild fabric cleaner if necessary, testing on an inconspicuous area first.
- Mechanism Care: Periodically check the reclining mechanism for any debris or obstructions. Lubricate moving parts if they become stiff, using a silicone-based lubricant.
- Sunlight Exposure: Avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight to prevent fading of the fabric.
6. Troubleshooting
If you encounter any issues with your armchair, refer to the following common solutions:
- Armchair does not recline smoothly: Check for any obstructions in the reclining mechanism. Ensure all assembly bolts are securely tightened.
- Footrest does not extend/retract: Verify that the operating lever is fully engaged. Check for any objects blocking the footrest mechanism.
- Unstable or Wobbly: Ensure all legs are securely attached and all frame connections are tightened. Adjust the legs if necessary to ensure even contact with the floor.
If the problem persists after attempting these solutions, please contact HOMCOM customer support.
