5. Installation Guide
The MSR X6 Smart Door Lock H1 is designed for easy installation on most standard American front doors without requiring additional drilling. A screwdriver is typically the only tool needed.
5.1 Prepare Your Door
- Ensure your door thickness and backset measurements are compatible with the lock.
- Remove any existing door hardware.
5.2 Step-by-Step Installation
- Install the Latch and Strike Plate into the door frame.
- Insert the Bolt Assembly into the door edge.
- Attach the Front Handle Assembly, ensuring the spindle passes through the bolt assembly.
- Place the Rubber Gasket and Mounting Plate on the interior side of the door.
- Connect the cable from the Front Handle Assembly to the Rear Handle Assembly.
- Secure the Rear Handle Assembly to the Mounting Plate with screws.
- Install the batteries (4x AAA, not included) into the battery compartment of the Rear Handle Assembly.
- Test the lock's basic functionality with a mechanical key.

6. Initial Setup and App Configuration
6.1 Download the TTLock App
Search for 'TTLock' in your smartphone's app store (iOS or Android) and download the application.
6.2 Pair the Lock with the App
- Enable Bluetooth on your smartphone.
- Open the TTLock app and create an account.
- Tap 'Add Lock' and select 'Door Lock'.
- Touch the keypad on the lock to activate it. The app should detect the lock.
- Follow the on-screen prompts to pair your lock.
6.3 User Management (Fingerprints, Passcodes, IC Cards)
Once paired, use the TTLock app to add and manage users:
- Fingerprints: Navigate to 'Fingerprints' in the app and follow instructions to register up to 200 unique fingerprints. Ensure the entire fingerprint surface is scanned for optimal recognition.
- Passcodes: Generate permanent, timed, one-time, or custom passcodes.
- IC Cards: Register the included IC cards for tap-to-unlock access.
- Ekeys: Share temporary or permanent ekeys with guests or family members via the app.

6.4 G2 Wi-Fi Gateway (Optional)
To enable remote control and voice control features, a G2 Wi-Fi Gateway (sold separately) is required. Follow the gateway's instructions to connect it to your home Wi-Fi network and link it with your MSR X6 Smart Door Lock H1 via the TTLock app.

7. Operation
7.1 Unlocking the Door
- Fingerprint: Place your registered finger on the sensor. The lock will unlock if the fingerprint is recognized.
- Keypad: Enter your registered passcode followed by the '#' key.
- IC Card: Tap the registered IC card against the card reader area on the lock.
- Mechanical Key: Insert the physical key into the keyhole (located under a cover) and turn to unlock.
- TTLock App: Open the app, select your lock, and tap the unlock icon (requires Bluetooth or G2 Wi-Fi Gateway).
7.2 Locking the Door
- Automatic Lock: The lock will automatically engage after a set period (configurable in the app) once the door is closed.
- One-Touch Lock: Press and hold the '#' key on the keypad for a few seconds to manually lock the door.
- TTLock App: Open the app, select your lock, and tap the lock icon (requires Bluetooth or G2 Wi-Fi Gateway).

7.3 Anti-Peep Passcode
To prevent others from guessing your passcode, you can enter random digits before or after your actual code. The lock will still recognize the correct sequence within the longer string of numbers.

8. Maintenance
8.1 Battery Management
- The lock uses 4x AAA batteries (not included). Expected battery life is approximately 180 days, depending on usage.
- The lock will provide a low battery alert when power is running low. Replace batteries promptly.
- In case of complete battery depletion, an emergency charging port (USB-C) is available on the exterior unit to temporarily power the lock for access.

8.2 Cleaning
Wipe the lock's surface with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid using abrasive cleaners or solvents that could damage the finish or electronic components.
