3.3 Initial Charging
While the camera features solar charging, it is recommended to fully charge the camera unit via the USB-C port before first use, especially if it has been stored for a long period or if solar exposure is limited.
4. Operating Instructions
- Power On/Off: Press the power button on the monitor to turn it on. The camera will automatically power on when it receives power (e.g., from the RV's parking lights or when manually activated).
- Viewing Feed: Once powered on, the monitor will display the live feed from the camera.
- Adjusting Settings: Use the buttons on the monitor (MENU, CH, OK, +/-, Power) to navigate through settings such as brightness, contrast, mirroring, and to toggle parking guidelines.
- Multiple Cameras: The system supports multiple cameras. Use the 'CH' button to switch between different camera feeds if additional cameras are installed.
- Reversing Guidelines: The monitor displays dynamic parking guidelines to assist with backing up.
5. Maintenance
- Charging: The camera's integrated solar panel will continuously charge the battery when exposed to sunlight. For prolonged periods without sun or during initial setup, charge the camera via its USB-C port.
- Cleaning: Regularly clean the camera lens and solar panel with a soft, damp cloth to ensure optimal performance.
- Waterproofing: Periodically inspect the camera's mounting area for any signs of wear or damage to the sealant. Reapply silicone caulk if necessary to maintain waterproofing.
- Battery Life: Battery performance can be affected by extreme temperatures. Ensure the camera is fully charged before extended trips, especially in cold weather.
6. Troubleshooting
- No Signal: If the monitor displays "No Signal", ensure both the camera and monitor are powered on and within range. Check antenna connections.
- Poor Image Quality: Clean the camera lens. Ensure no obstructions are blocking the camera's view. Check for strong interference sources.
- Monitor Not Turning On: Verify the car charger is properly plugged into the 12V socket and the vehicle's ignition is on.
- Camera Not Charging: Ensure the solar panel is clean and exposed to direct sunlight. If charging via USB-C, check the cable and power source.
